Reg plates are for example 91 D222 is 91 for the year 1991, D would be Dublin. 231 reg is 2023 first 6 months 232 is going 2023 last 6 Months of year. Hope this helps.

So you will know for your next trip to Ireland we have the simplest vehicle number plate s in the world probably. Since 1987 the first 2 numbers are the year the 3rd number tells you which half of the year it’s registered for example 231 is January to July and 232 is July to December. The 3rd number was only added in 2013. The letters are the first and last letters of the county for example Kildare KE or Dublin is just D and the last numbers are your vehicle.

Richard and Farmer P. I am delighted that the both of you had a wonderful time in Ireland. Yes, it’s correct that you are proud to be part of your industry. You can have all the plush offices and yes people need to work. But without the farmers of the world The same said people, won’t eat. You two should think about having a merch shop next year and Farm P can bring the Cake lady.

I do wonder what the attendance at the local schools is like will the event is on. If Harry a interested in restoring a tractor please support him I made a mistake due to my shift work I done jobs in the car when the children were at school so they very really got involved in spannering. Got BSF/Whitworth, A/F and Metric tools. The A/F are the ones I used as an aircraft engineer yes aircraft are A/F. Catch them young the experience will last a life time.

Attendance would be lower for sure for those 3 days it's on every year, especially rural schools with kids wirh farming backgrounds in villages, towns etc don't think it appeals to city folk too much but could be mistaken. And that would be nationwide not just local to where it's being held

I think it is fantastic that farmers are getting recognition via TH-cam and other media. It is wonderful to see how farmers are doing their thing around the world, especially for those of us aren’t able to travel. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Cheers also to all the others who work in the agriculture industry.

Irish number plates are very similar to English plates. First 2 digits are the year it was purchased, 2 letters are the county and the number after is the Xth vehicle sold that year in that county. For example, the tractor 91-MH-413 you were looking at. It was purchased in 1991. MH is county Meath and it was the 413th vehicle sold in Meath in that year. In 2013 they split it into 2 (Jan-June and July-December) so the rental you had was 2021 (second half), D is Dublin and it was the 18,212th car sold in Dublin in those 6 months.

On the number plate, the first numbers are the year of the vehicle, the letters represent the first and last letters of the county it is registered in and the last numbers are the sequence of registration. In this case, the tractor is a 91 year, county Meath (MH) and it was the 413th vehicle registered that year. The modern ones will have a three digit number first, with the year being the first two digits and there will be either a 1 or a 2. The 1 means it was registered in the first half of the year and the 2 means it was registered in the second half of the year.

I remember when it was in carlow .. there was machines pulling beet.. harvesters cutting maze.. there used to be ploughs.. harrows.. and seed drills working.. I remember 1 year of tree felling machines in a small area of forest demonstration.. .. but I suppose insurance issues have put an end to it...

At 42:23 Numbering system. Fairly simple really, (Blue IRL in Cyrcle of Yellow - Europe, 91-MH-413 Year 1991, County Meath (first and last letter of county( 413rrd regestered inem in that county that year)
In 2013 we changed to a 2 Plate per year and say 132-KY-225 Year 2013 second half of the year or second plate that year (Jan to June(XX1) and July to Dec (XX2)), Co. Kerry and 225th regestered vehicle . Counties which are a little different are WX for Wexford and WD for Waterford, KK for Kilkenny as KY is already used for Kerry etc. etc. In cars the name of the county in Irish language is also a leagel requirement. say again 151-KY-123 will have Ciarrai (irish for Kerry) in small ffont over the Reg Number on tha same plate.

Irish registration number explained 91 MH 413
91 is the year it was registration
MH is the country it was registrar in. In most cases( not all eg Dublin is just D) the first and last latter of the county is taken. In this case it is Co. Meath. The man you were talking to his reg was SO witch is the the first and last letter in Sligo
    413 is it number
In 2013 new registrations change from once a year to twice a year. In January and July. As a result the your hare car has a reg started with 211. If I was to registrar a new car today it would start with 232. The second part of 2023
