Battle Network 5 TP Bosses Deleted in Under 10 Seconds (no Chaos Unison or Bass Chip)

This video is mainly to show that it's possible to 10-second-delete all the bosses of Megaman Battle Network 5 Team PROTOMAN, without using either Chaos Unison or a Bass chip (or any Giga chip, for that matter).
Yes, each boss took me multiple tries to get it just right, and yes, many of the retries were simply due to a poor initial cust screen (which can happen for any folder). The point of this video is to show that it's possible and (since there are probably other videos out there like this) that I can personally do it. Now that I have all the SP chips, next up for recording is Nebula Area 5!
NC: Super Armor, Cust+2, Cust+1, Undershirt, ChargeMAX, Attack+1, Speed+1
General thoughts:
For this video I abused GyroSoul's propeller ability. When you use a wind chip, Mega's propeller starts spinning, and then the next wind or null chip you use is doubled in power. Some other things I utilized here:
-Super Armor, to ease targeting
-SuperVulcan, because it has 12 hits and therefore multiplies boosts by 12
-AirShot, because it is a really quick attack that spins the propellor
-Tornado, because it has 8 hits, is a wind chip, and its power is doubled when it hits a sea panel
-SeaSeed, to create sea panels to combo with tornado
-Timpani, to ease targeting
-BigNoise, because it is an S program advance, does a good chunk of damage (at least 20% of bosses HP) and eases targeting with its paralysis
Wood chips for Cloud/MagnetMan, elec chips (and MagnetSoul!) for BlizzardMan.

Agreed. I wish there would be a series of games inspired by Battle Network, but all I found is Project Chrono X which is amazing at it's current beta.

Wow, this is impressive. I know this an old video but wow, ten seconds. I've played network 5 and I never been able to get a battle done in ten seconds. To think that was years ago, this makes me want to play the all the games again and explore even more combos.

It's any elemental pannel, not only water. Not only it gives it an element to the tornado, but also powers it up by damage

I always told myself I'll carefully read Chaud's e-mails about what each soul offers, so I'll be able to utilize them when going for less-than-10-seconds runs. I ended up forgetting about it and using a really annoying AreaGrab+Sanctuary+HolyDream strategy. At least I knew about SearchSoul's Shuffle and I used it, but still, it took me forever. Respect!

That Blizman delete was amazing. Can't believe anyone thought to use an otherwise mediocre chip that way.
Cloudman is a top tier chip... everyone knows to use it like that. Usually you use dblpoint with it and a waterseed

despite how much I played the 5th game I had no idea about GyroSoul's 2x bonus when using a wind chip. Guess I just forgot about it
JustSomeGamer Honestly, I knew about it but I didn't use it much during the game. I don't think I used many wind chips at all during my standard playthroughs, tbh, except to unite before unlocking Napalm.

Why is it that Sea Seed and Tornado are so powerful?
I never remember those chips being that strong
Tornado does 8 hits for 20 damage a pop. Launching it onto a sea panel doubles the damage, and GyroSoul's activated spinning fan doubles it again. Add to that the base damage was increased by Atk+s and Color Point, and it easily 1-shots most bosses. For example, vs. GridMan, I had Atk+30, an extra +20 for ColorPoint, plus the two doubles (spinning fan and hitting sea panel), so that was (20+30+20)*2*2*8 = 70*4*8 = 2,240 damage.

i like you played without using Chaos Unison and dark chips. It means you really think about the tactics and combinations of your deck, in stead of spamming OP dark chips.
That being said, being able to pull off 6 DarkSwrds in a row and have them all hit...

It's not out of the question, but I haven't actually played TC yet so I'd have to actually finish the game and play with those souls to find another strategy. It'll probably be someday since TC is the canon version after all, so I really ought to play it.

This goes to show that Gyrosoul is busted. Using a non dimming wind chip in Gyrosoul doubles the attack power of your next 2 non dimming non element chips. Seaseed and Tornado Gyrosoul combo is OP.

Colonel is canon and has a little bit more story than Protoman, but in terms of gameplay both are fine. I started with Protoman so I'm biased toward it, but I do think its souls are more fun.

Honestly I never thought using Tornado attack on enemies on sea panel can increase your damage exponentially. Since gyro soul already doubles the power attack chip after using wind attack chip plus with increment chips, I guess the battle can end this quick. Oh, not to mention fast gauge and one full custom chips, that saves time to wait for next time to pick up new chips. Although sadly, those two support chips aren't used that much in the main story since it focuses on liberation mission.
Liberation mission needs slow gauge and many same code and * chips so that you can insert 5 chips at once to the NetNavis (Medi is my favourite but too sad that her HP is too low and weak) and since we only have three turns to defeat all enemies.
Regardless, your efforts in beating bosses using simple chips like Tornado and sea seeds made me see that not all chips are useless. Especially sea seed, I only thought it was only best used to summon tsunami since you need sea panels. The Timpani was something too I find it hard to use or don't know what kind of battle to use them.
I mean I recently found out that community was able to adapt the game into an esports, there u can see people use different combinations of chips

+ThemFilthy Metronomes Lance * is Nebula Area 4 GMD, Seaseed * is a BMD in the TerminalComp in Scilab or level 3 GMD in End Area 2.

Another trick in Liberation Mission is you use Copydamage*, big noise PA or multihit moves to hit all. 😊. 1 turn Liberation❤
Any chance for Colonel Navis?
First turn use fast gauge, VDoll O, Fire hit O to counter 😊, full cust, next turn, big noise/Life sword Pa plus curse. Deleting all without Gyrosoul.
With Fan you can use Windrack that fast counter up close and push back for Lance*. Use Fanfare chip to get the timing of countering without looking health. Important for Napalmman and Cloudman.
Care to tell me all of the Chips in the folder that you used to beat GyroMan Omega?

+Alante Smith Yeah, there are some weird bugs like that sometimes. I also get bugs sometimes with launching napalm bombs where they never come down.
Does beating a navi under 10 seconds do anything special? Like in 6 where the chip got stronger the quicker you kill.

SoulRed12 No problem^^! Gyro Soul sure is very powerful when used that way in Team Portoman, but in Team Colonel, what soul can be used to beat bosses under 10 seconds?
HyperDragoonHx Check out the vid by MidniteWv4, linked in the description. He uses a lot of countering to get that x2 boost that I use GyroSoul for.
SoulRed12 I saw it. The best soul for Team Colonel is Tomahawk Soul, but it's best not to use it all the time. That, and elemental tornados pack a REALLY big punch!
Larkman Sp S, Blinder*, Big Noise PA. Next turn, Life sword Sword*, the rest S. You can also have a VDoll chip and counter. Big noise PA plus curse, Blinder, Larkman Sp S. 😊
Gyrosoul it is better to use fan to unite and pull in and air spin (Gyrosoul fan on) to area surround . Counter with Spreader, Skully S, Sword * for Easier life sword PA.
You can also counter with Firehit code 0 with VDoll O. Next turn Navi chip.
Build the folder as you go. Markcannon chip track and counter as well. Custvolt and Sword keep track of timing and hitting.

Nope, there's a community that still remains active and they do organize tournaments online, and now with the recently released MMBN Legacy Collection I think they've been even more active, search "Megaman Battle Network Grand Prix N1", maybe it's not a giant community but pretty sure there's people playing these games nowadays (including me of course, but I'm a casual).
Did they bring back seaseed?
I always had TC and Tomahawk Soul wasn’t good for speed runs for me good for being virtually invincible.

How do you fight Larkman Beta And Omega Form
You fight Beta by just battling the Larkman you find in the undernet (through the secret pathway from End Area) after defeating his alpha form. You fight Omega as a random encounter in Undernet 2 after defeating Beta.

I used a few folders in this, and unfortunately I replaced them when I went on to do the Nebula Area 5 video. All I'd be able to give you definitively is what you see in the video. From what I remember for the main folder, it was a few airshots to get the fan spinning, some fans or winds (can't remember which) to use as soul unison fodder, a few tornados, one or two seaseeds, BigNoise PA, and lots of Atk +s and ColorPoints (and DoublePoint). I also used some timpanis, areagrabs, and fastguage/fullcust as support, and SuperVulcan as a backup killer.

He utilizado diferentes carpetas para cada batalla. En la mayoría de las batallas he usado una carpeta "alma gyro", con una gran cantidad de los chips de tornado y tiro de aire. También usé el BigNoise PA (y SuperVulcan), y muchos chips de Atk+. En otras batallas utilicé carpetas especializadas tales como la carpeta "alma elec" para la batalla con BlizzardMan.

The only way I ever managed fast delete times was with cheats lol God especially Battle Network 3 you could have the megabuster do 100 damage shots or 1000 damage charge shots. The upside I finally beat Alpha. God I hated being 10 I had no sense of strategy

In my experience they aren't that tough - always had more trouble on TP than on TC. If you managed this, and if you find the time...It shouldn't be much harder.
