Excellent video👍 i got the drift motion shimmed 7MGE pump I’m using a bigger pipe as well but yes you explained very quickly what shimming is where in the pump its located, its taken some of the mystery out which is very very useful when talking to my mechanic
Awesome video. I had done this swap in my mk2 Supra years ago and I’m currently doing a head gasket. This time around I’d like to correct all of know issues with the engine. I’m curious to know what an fitting you used in conjunction with the drift motion line.

This is what I decided to use a did have to cut a small piece of the baffling as it was touching a little. I didn't want it to eventually damage the Line just check it when test fitting the pan make sure the line is clear of anything of course.🤙🏼
I actually haven't done my swap yet. But I will tell you that cometic gasket is really nice i can tell its the way to go. Unfortunately I removed the pan again to add another oil return and just toyota used FIPG for cost reasons and time. But I recommend that gasket over those bs cork ones for sure.
As far as I know the 7mgte has bigger gears than the ge pump. Sorry I didn't have a GE pump for this video to confirm that for you. A dead giveaway is the gear cover having that raised bump where the shaft comes up into the cover. If it doesn't have that it has smaller volume gears. Hope that helps
So I need some help. I have a 5mge from a Supra. Was originally front sump so I got a mid sump from a 7M. I got the 7mge oil pump but it’s not lining up with the mounting tab.
Dam good video! I just noticed how you drilled the hole for the dip stick on front sump, great idea!
Thanks a lot man. I'm glad I can get these videos out there🌎 🤙

Any chance you could do a walk around the RA64?
That will definitely be coming 🤟
Thx for the video
No problem thanks for checking out the channel🤙
So you take the plug off the pump and in between the spring and plug, you put inside a 3MM thick washer?
Yes 5mm is a common thickness but since my pump and spring was brand new I decided to run 3mm
How is the cometic oil pan gasket holding up? Any leaks or drips? I been debating if I want to go with the cometic or the FIPG. Great video!

...and thank you i try my best on these videos 🤙
Is there a difference between the 7mge or 7mgte oil pump? The research I've done it seems the two part numbers are different. Thank you

Hey I can help you out with that I have a spare 5m in my garage and spare 7m pump and pan i will try it myself and see whats the deal.
Joseph Maldonado thanks! I sent you a request on Facebook so I’ll message you on there
Where did you get the crossover tube with the smo
ther bends?
Driftmotion sales the flexible one with the AN fittings.
@@josephmaldonado2521 I'm only
@@josephmaldonado2521 I'm only interested in the hardline. The one with the nice smooth bends, is that a stock 7M one?
Oh sorry yea the ones in the video were stock.
Thanks.
Thanks for checking out the channel 🤙
Does anyone know if you can pull the oil pan and shim the spring without pulling the engine?
thanks
The crossmember and the pump itself would probably prevent you from pulling the pan while in the car.
