    Hard times is why when we were home shopping we bought at a low price and at a great rate, have the double homestead exemption, once we claimed it our property taxes almost halved, people 65 and over who earn 25k and less, couple making 30k and less are property tax exempt, 100% disabled vets are exempt, current military are also exempt.

    • @willp.8120
      @willp.8120 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why should anyone be exempt? If not everyone, no one should be exempt. I'm disabled with neurological issues, lost my career on account of it, yet can't even get disability because testing isn't advanced enough to show damage at the neuron level with any scan that insurance generally will cover. So, I am forced to drudge through work days, taxing my body that is already compromised. Yet, some healthy ex military who never served in a war but did office work doesn't have to pay property tax and I do. Ridiculous. I can't even work in the field I am trained in and worked in for 16 years. Middle aged and unemployable for anything other than service work that pays insufficient for everything I have to manage.
