Hi, can I ask you to remove the plate at the top of the door and post a picture? Our refrigerator convertible is missing the full cable so we do not have a light inside.
What would it have hurt them to make the handle on the freezer curved instead of pointed? I now have all these 1" gashes on the top of my head when I use the crisper.
Bought one a year ago. We use it for a meat freezer and an overflow storage for the inside freezer. We live in South Carolina. It is in the garage. It works fine. I wish it connected to wifi so I could monitor. Just bought a sensor to place inside. We'll see if it works.
We have the 21 cu ft version, but it appears to have identical door bins (or "door trays"). I cannot figure out how to remove the door bins, even though they certainly appear to be removable as one sees in most such appliances. I'm afraid of breaking it-- could someone please explain how to do this? Lifting up on the empty bin is not the answer. Are there retaining tabs somewhere that I'm just not seeing?
I bought mine in 2021, freezer quit working and after contacting Best Buy to send out a repair man, they informed me that they don’t do repairs on this so future buyers beware!! Im very disappointed in finding this out and it’s 16 months old.
I bought one today for $599. I have the BB TotalTech membership and that gets me two years of warranty. Those with just a year of warranty, I'd recommend getting a Home Service Plan or something similar to cover appliance repair after the warranty period is over.
Same, I just tried a hard reset and kept it unplugged for 30-40 minutes. Plugged back in and nothing started, not fan or compressor. Then I did the factory reset. Lock button for 3 seconds, hold down Lock and + for three seconds. Some clicks and noises and it is apparently restarting in the freezer function. At least the compressor is currently running again. Will check in the morning. Have about 40 bottles of water and a few ice packs in their so it is filled with something right now.
Made by Midea I purchased 2 from Lowes. 1 to be a fridge, 1 to be a freezer. Advertised as Garage Ready but when I opened a warranty request because the fridge was only cooling to low to mid 40s and it was set at 35 ( lowest setting ) They told me it needs to be in freezer mode or moved to inside house. Total BS the garage has been about 60F that is not going to keep it from cooling and it is advertised for extreme garage or basement temps. I like the unit and convenience of being convertible but the Midea company and their support is a joke.
You would press the lock button for three seconds to unlock the settings and then press the freezer/fridge to switch to your choice. Once done, just press the lock button for another 3 secs to lock the settings.
I hate this freezer, the door alarm doesn't continuously beep which my GE fridge does when I forget to close the door. So if the door doesn't close and you walk away or leave the room the alarm will go off for only like 2mins and will stop beeping afterwards so you won't know if it's still open until hours later when I get back to the freezer and then inside is like at 60F.
Did you store yours in the garage or in a home controlled environment? Even though it's rated for garage use I'm curious if it lasts longer inside vs in garage
It is doing great! Working perfectly. Honestly we haven’t treated it that well because we have it out on a covered balcony but it’s a work horse. No problems at all.
Is it gets no frost function? Thanks.

Do you know if there is a way to turn it off without unplugging? I didn't see anything in the manual.
We just purchased one today ! How has yours been since you bought it ?
It has been working perfectly!!
how is the freezer holding so far ??
What is the width when the door is open? I have a closet I would like to install the freezer in the door opening is 29.5” wide at the narrowest point
Hello. Is the plug straight or angled?
Is the door reversible? The site I'm looking at it on says no, trying to confirm.
@@macfady2181 doesn’t appear to be possible with mine. Other side doesn’t have the holes for it.
After having it 2yrs. I'm so tired of hearing that damn chime everytime I open it. Trying to find a why to disable that door open chime
That chime is to remind you every time you open the freezer that you are getting fatter and you should close it!
how is the freezer holding so far ??
THANK YOU so much! Needed this video gonna buy it right now

I bought mine in 2019 and it stopped cooling/freezing in 2021. Best Buy told me the same thing. I regret my purchase.

Did that fix it @@joelwillems4081
Same problem, had mine for less than 2 years… Bad business .
At 2:50 -13 degrees what Celsius or Fahrenheit? Thanks!
For the Quick Freeze? That's -13F
I just bought mine for $599 in store. They were having a sale.
Where is the actual plug located? We just had ours delivered and there is no power cord or any indication of where the power source would be.
you don't need a power cord ... it is solar powered
Same!!!!
Did you figure it out?
So where do you go with your frozen food when you switch it to fridge mode?
Bought a stand up Freezer
I think he raised the temperature just for the party. The frozen food will keep for hours.

Is there a hack to put it in Freezer mode at a higher temp? Like 33 degrees?
Cool ..but the more adavanced in technology the sooner it would breakdown! I guess we have to live with it from now or so on!
So it's not a fridge and freezer. ..it's one or the other at any one time. ..1 function at a time
You didn't explain if it can freezer and fridge at the same time. ..or just fridge temp or just freezer temp
Came here for this question and answer
Johnny sinns?
how do you remove that control panel in front?
Dunno - why do you want to :)?

Ours died after 26 months and can't get it serviced, Best Buy won't help and neither will Insignia ... buyer beware
