I have an issue where after i open and shut the door and the display shuts off that it immediately starts to sort of bug out flashing and beeping and sometimes it stops on it own. This isn’t where the door is left open or a temp issue. There is plenty of breathing room and the door is firmly shut. The only way i get it to stop is to unplug it for even just a second and plug it back in but i can’t imagine that is any good for it. It is still running cold and i can still manage the settings before it decides to freak out. Anyways just my experience with this one other than that i do like it a lot.
There might be a fault on yours, I know mine still runs great and I never experienced any of that personally. Thats a bummer you had to deal with it though, I would look into warranty.
Looks Like made by Midea. I purchased 2 identical but white from Lowes. 1 to be a fridge, 1 to be a freezer. Advertised as Garage Ready but when I opened a warranty request because the fridge was only cooling to low to mid 40s and it was set at 35 ( lowest setting ) They told me it needs to be in freezer mode or moved to inside house. Total BS the garage has been about 60F that is not going to keep it from cooling and it is advertised for extreme garage or basement temps. I like the unit and convenience of being convertible but the Midea company and their support is a joke.
I am not completely sure if the same company or not, I know there are some that are rebranded but I do have multiple Whytner products. I never use the fridge mode so I cannot give my opinion on that. The freezer is all I use and its been great all this time. Sorry you are having issues though.
Not true at all and never heard of this. I have been using this freezer for almost one year now. I have never heard of any freezer out there that requires a manual restart for a power outage, that would be a horrible design flaw.
Stainless is my favorite for everything but those prints....I just got a stainless steel ice cream machine as well, will be reviewing that on the cooking channel soon.
Good review i was looking at this exact size and wanted to see how it looked in person.
thanks for the watch, its a great freezer im still using.

I hear that if there is a power outage the freezer won't restart automatically when power is restored. You have to manually restart. Is that true?

is there anyway you can use it as a fridge and freezer at the same time?
Not at the same time, has to be one or the other, there would be no way to separate the 2 being a combined area.
I would suggest buying 2 of these freezers. Set one to freezer mode and the other to fridge mode.
I love stainless steel but it does attract fingerprints! We have a big upright freezer
