  • Easier than an oil change. Takes less than 90 minutes before you're on your way. Make sure to watch in HD!
    The crush washer is 18mm, part number 90471-PX4-000
    Hopefully this helps some folks, good luck!

    Geeze it's depressing watching American videos that mention transmission fluid costs. I just looked at a CR-V coming up on 195,000 KM so an ATF change is due per the official schedule. I just priced up 3L = it's $108 here in my country, triple that for 3x drain & fills. That's over US$200 as compared to your $50 when this video was made. I know there's been a few years in between but we're talking FOUR TIMES the cost that you paid. We get royally shafted every time here in New Zealand. Thanks for showing the procedure anyway. Very similar to a vehicle I've done before so that's reassuring but the cost still hurts lol.

    Between you and me, I wouldn't put that light bar in front of your condenser/radiator like that. This gen's fatal flaw is too little air flow over the too small AC condenser and radiator. Our compressor just exploded like a hand grenade, literally, in the engine compartment. FULL AC system re-install required, aluminum shards in everything. I'm going to change the tensioner and idler pulley too, I think there is aluminum dust in their bearings/shaft.

    K....one thing:
    1) when the draining is "done"...add some clean fluid...and then let "that fluid" push out the rest of the old fluid in the pan for each time you drain....you WILL NOT get what's in the torque converter...but, at least the heavy burned, sediment stuff will be "pushed out"...or just drain/drive/drain drive once or twice to get most of the crap out. One needs 3 qrts per drain...so plan ahead.
    Honda,...like everything Honda...is a rip off...$8-9 a quart for this tranny oil. Get it somewhere other than an OEM store...but use the Honda product.
    One can also do a "total tranny fluid change"...by learning how....the video is described in here on TH-cam somewhere...otherwise...change your tranny fluid until you see a nice
    "red color" move often.
    Despite what some mechanics say....this can help with the model years of 2002-2006 to take away "shift-shutter" caused by the torque converter f*cking up past 3rd gear.

      Frank From Upstate NY my 05 Crv has a weird thing that driving slow it makes a violent shake in the car and the rpm drops I check the axel driveshaft everything idk if that’s the shudder thing mostly people says those tranny o got the car months ago but I haven’t replace the fluid I noticed the fluid is like red but like darker when you stop the and when you accelerate you feel the vibration sometimes does and the rpm kinda suffering to not go up

    • @soljafurkan
      @soljafurkan 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Alexander McKelvy Tell me about it, whenever i find that piece on your bumper its always cracked or doesnt look up to par. one last question and thanks so much for the info. I found the fender flare, if i were to buy it aswell as wider tires would they still stick out? because as of now without the flares they stick out 2inchs. Does your flare go over the tire? Thankyou.

    • @alexandermckelvy9461
      @alexandermckelvy9461  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +soljafurkan I don't know the exact details of what you have or what you're trying to do, but the tires you see in this video are "LT215/70R-16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO C" - they don't stick out. Just keep in mind that adding bigger tires/rims adds extra weight that you'll notice bogging you down, especially on a 4 cylinder. Spacers / hubcentric offsets might do the trick to get your wheels sticking out a little more, but I haven't tried anything like that.
