I used to thaw it overnight too, or for a few hours. Since then I've taken Food Safety & Sanitation classes (and have a certificate in it) and learned about how bacteria grows in food, and will never do it again. What I learned has changed my whole outlook on food safety. There are even some foods I won't eat anymore. It's ALWAYS better to err on the side of caution. In one class, we listened to a recording of a woman who ate a fast food potato that was hot on the outside, and cold in the middle. She contracted a form of Botulism that left her muscles completely paralyzed. She couldn't breathe or even blink on her own. They wouldn't give her any painkillers, so she felt everything they did to her, including intubating her, which is apparently very painful. She was lucky and survived, but it took a really long time to recover, and she had to learn how to do everything from talking to walking all over again. I also had a friend who was hospitalized with food poisoning after eating Eggs Benedict in Vegas. That, on top of everything else I learned in the course, has made me much more cautious. And before the class I'd had food poisoning before, and definitely have no desire to repeat that. So I'll put safety first, because it could happen to anyone, no one is immune. And an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! But, you do you. And I hope whatever you do works for you and you never to experience food poisoning! 🙂 Happy hamburger-ing!
Omg I've been thawing ground beef and chicken out at room temperature for decades😵💫😵💫😵💫. Thank goodness I've never gotten anyone sick🥺🥺🥺. Thanks for the information
@snookie5524 Very very risky practice there. Watch the Chubbyemu video about a survivor that didn't eat the family dinner for the holiday and how he lost his entire family. Allegedly, the food wasn't thawed out right and that bacteria left a lethal toxin that doesnt get cooked or washed away all over the noodles that killed 4/5 family members (comments say it was a family of 14, 11:3 youngest). They died a slow and painful death by which there is no treatment for.
Here is the video for cooking frozen ground beef: th-cam.com/video/g_dvqUlz1KQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bATWDmynU3Y4ROqn directly on a pan without having to thaw it out!
1lb of beef will take about 1h or so sometimes. But also, you can cook the ground beef frozen th-cam.com/video/g_dvqUlz1KQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NG77J6YQMRihG7E5 (if you don't need to break it up into patties or meatballs).

I just came from thawing chicken video from 2 years ago! Happy to see you're still active
So glad you're here!
Thanks!
thank you so much! You're too kind!
I’ve been thawing meat in room temperature for ages never had issue except maybe once when I left it too long. Will try the fridge method !
Please do!
Why "change the water a couple times during the hour" thawing in water? How does that help?
bc the water gets really cold from the frozen beef and will lengthen thaw time
@@analaddiction thank you 🥩
Yes, this is the reason!
@@MOMables TY
Thank You❤ I shall use the meat in the wayer bowl method!!
great! happy to help
I've been letting ground beef thaw out room temperature since as long as I can remember, I'm still alive. 😅
Thank you for sharing!
Exactly. We've done it for years. Now I don't let it sit out all day, but 3 or 4 hours for sure.

Yea it’s ridiculous. Even if bad Bacteria did grow, it dies while cooking lol
Me too.
Thanks for your helpful information!😊
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you found it helpful.

Ran out of time! Can I cook the ground beef while its frozen or do I have to thaw it first?
She has another video about how to cook frozen ground beef!
Thank you for chiming in!

I have had 1/5 pound of ground beef in cold water with cold water running on it for 50 minutes and it is still frozen solid. So this does not work.

Very helpful information. Ty
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you great video super helpful
I'm glad you find it helpful! 🥰
Why do you need to replace the water a couple of times?
It gets cold as the beef thaws out.
Chubbyemu video of one survivor of his entire family dying from eating food that allegedly wasn't prepared right brought me here.
oh wow!
Wait what does she means by safely? So are you telling me that thawing frozen meets will cause it to explode?
No explosions, but if you thaw incorrectly it can lead to accidentally spoiling the meat, which can be unsafe.
Got it!! Haha I really was expecting fire and electricity explosion
ILY
Thank you!
Cold water 1 hour did nothing
1 hour is not enough. You also need to change the water regularly.
I love you
😊
I like how to video's just not this one 😂
