  • Dylan and Robert finally get to return home to their home base after being near the Gibson County Lake Area for two weeks harvesting the Hopkins Farm and custom harvesting. They start in on a 90 acre block of double crop soybeans. How are the yields? Watch to find out.

I had a lot of pods in my double crop beans this year, JD 9500, filler plates are out, and I closed up the concave a bunch too. Could be they were shorter and less stems through the hresher, I guess they made 30 bushels per acre.

John Deere's recommendations in the book suck. We run our concave on 2 and threshing cylinder between 4-500 rpm. Fan on 1100. Were the pods threshed or unthreshed? Makes a big difference on the adjustments you need to make.

A least it made an awesome video. Sorry to hear about the low yields keep your chin up.

Hate to hear the yields are what you were expecting, but enjoyed the explanation as to some of the reasons why👌👍 I bet you are glad to be back nearby, I'm sure it can get old being a ways from the home farm. Those shots standing in the cart that JD sure does sounds good!! Great video Dylan, enjoyed the ride and conversation!! Thank you for bringing us along, look fwd to more sir!!😁👌

      850-900 bushel of corn.
800-850 soybeans. The test weight on the beans we're so bad this year that we werent getting but 700-730.

@@DylanJoyceFarms that's what we can haul on our 28ft dump trailers. Does the single axle handle it good? We got a lot of bad hills here.

@@hysingerfarms4527 The single axles does fine. We've been shopping arpund for another truck and trailer. You can normally buy a single axle quite a bit cheaper. Our trailer is a 32 foot.

You ever have problems with breaking the plate under the gearbox on that 922 head? We run the same head and have broken that plate every year for the last 2.

Ive never broken one. I have heard that there is some kind of ball joint under the left hand end of the header that can cause wobble box area problems.
