This will come in handy cleaning and conditioning the apron you made for me last year. Thank you. (The apron is still in great shape. Love it.)

I like it and highly recommend your leather apron to all woodworkers.
Question 1: What is your recommended frequency for cleaning an apron?
Question 2: Is a cleaning always followed by a conditioning?

Hello Bruce. Thanks for the kind words. #1 the frequency of cleaning is when you think it's dirty. For us woodworkers, dust is our enemy. I frequently blow off with an air hose and wipe down with a dry rag frequently. I clean my apron as needed or once per quarter. #2 YES cleaners remove oil to lift the dirt from the pores. The conditioner replaces them. Here is my example. We all have leather work boots. We've cleaned them with a bristle brush when they get muddy with water or soap and water, let them dry. Next, we put them back on and off we go. SOMETIME later a year or more we start to notice small cracks in the leather, across the toe or anywhere. Honestly, I've never conditioned my work boots and the leather breaks down. As far as conditioning, you cant over condition. More in the winter months ( less humid). Just like hand lotion, when our hands are dry, we use lotion. If my apron is not too dirty I'll apply just conditioner.

Thanks, Jeff. Jeff has the honor of owning APRON #1. All is well. We are growing at a manageable pace. Michelle is running the leather business full time since September 2019.

@@leatherbydragonfly Wow. I did not know that. I am deeply honored to be "that customer". I love the apron and would encourage anyone thinking of buying one, do it, you won't be disappointed.
