No abs, drum brakes, you had brakes technically but at the weight and speed these guys were going those brakes were very unreliable. Look at dnf rates back then you were lucky to even finish a race. Imo racing prior to the mid to late 90s is different from everything after that.

For 2010 and 2012 Seb and Fernando were unlucky but Seb made more mistakes than Fernando, and he had clearly a faster car than him so for me Fernando deserved a little bit more those titles than Seb to make those mediocre Ferraris especially the F2012 to fight for the title against the Super Redbulls and McLarens.

Today's Formula One is also the least competitive in all of its history since it's 80% car and 20% driver. It's all about the car not the driver. Michael Schumacher started modern F1 as it is today, when he (Micheal) had the only car that could win. Fernando Alonso is the only driver from modern F1 that with not the most superior car, actually won 2 championships in Michael's Ferrari era. Max has 3 titles but just like Hamilton's championships, don't have the same weight as other times. Senna the GOAT of F1 was on another dimension as a pure driver, nobody is even close to his prime. Alonso is today's best driver on the grid by pure talent and driving skills.

Unpopular opinion: Fernando is better than Seb, Kimi, Button and Rosberg. He is at the same level as Hamilton and Schumacher (if not better) but the diference is that Lewis and Michael were luck enough to be in the right team at the right time with a dominant car that allowed them to win multiple consecutive championships while Fernando have only driven 4 cars in his entire career capable of challenging for the title (but not dominant).

Formula One unfortunately is one of the very few sports in which championships don't have the same weight. Senna is easily the GOAT of Formula One, yet he only won 3 titles before he died. Today's Formula One is also the least competitive in all of its history since it's 80% car and 20% driver. It's all about the car not the driver.
Michael Schumacher started modern F1 as it is today, when he (Micheal) had the only car that could win. Fernando Alonso is the only driver from modern F1 that with not the most superior car, actually won 2 championships in Michael's Ferrari era.
Max has 3 titles but just like Hamilton's championships, don't have the same weight as other times.
Senna the GOAT of F1 was on another dimension as a pure driver, nobody is even close to his prime.

Unpopular opinion: Fernando is better than Seb, Kimi, Button and Rosberg.
He is at the same level as Hamilton and Schumacher (if not better) but the diference is that Lewis and Michael were luck enough to be in the right team at the right time with a dominant car that allowed them to win multiple consecutive championships while Fernando have only driven 4 cars in his entire career capable of challenging for the title (but not dominant).
He's better than Lewis, but not Michael, who is second best of all time. Did it's not that unpopular opinion. Mate you do know Michael win 2 title BEFORE going to ferrari
