Im converted to muslim (mualaf) and my most fmly still non muslim & some are muslim. But during Christmas time we will visit, dinner & chit chat but we wont attend the Christianity prayer at churches nor at home. Before eating my non muslim fmly will pray Christianity and us will pray Muslim. Alhamdulillah we are undrstnd each other. Cuz my husb is an arab but having good bond with my non muslim too.
As a revert I’ve struggled with this especially my first couple of years but I’m at a point now where I’m comfortable. But now I just use this time to get decor for Ramadan (tinsel and star decoration) 😅
just curious from a non Muslim, would going to a family party to visit be ok or is that still against Islam? your videos have taught me lots about Islam thanks Veronika
In my research i found that maintaining family ties is very important in Islam Alhamdulillah. My non-Muslim family is not big on Christmas anyways but if they were I’d still attend but I wouldn’t be participating in the traditional Christmas related rituals. I might even arrive late or leave early to skip certain activities. It’s important for us to do our own research and verify with people of knowledge (Imams or scholars) and trust ourselves to make an informed decision. Inshallah
I couldn't even tell my mother I am Muslim , she wouldn't understand, she would disown me altogether, she s an old school person , stubborn, not open minded, but i love her though
Christmas is such a big holiday in the west even for atheists, you could say it has lost its original meaning and has become a celebrition of family unity and pretty lights. An example is Japan, theres a very tiny Christian population there but they still celebrate Christmas without any of the worship. Idk it just feels like as long as your intention isn't worship it should be fine to at least give gifts.
Can someone please answer me. I have 2 kids from my previous relationship (before I reverted). Their father is mormon but my kids are with me the majority of the time. His family does not respect my beliefs and his mother constantly sends gifts for christmas and easter. I have asked her to respect my decision but she does not seem to care. Do you have any advice?
Question! How do you raise your children to be respectful and not ruin Santa for other children who believe in it? Like what do you tell your kids about Santa?
As a Christian, I will tell you that Christmas is biblical. We celebrate the earthly birth of Jesus Christ and this is a special day for Jesus Christ (devoted to him). We repent our Sins, pray, sing Carol's , dance and eat Christmas cake(contains rum) and doughnuts.. 😀 Also we eat Biryani (chicken preferably) and wine. Also make indian sweets like chiwda. 😍
Мне интересно, что происходит с вами на Пасху. Насколько мне известно, в Исламе не принимается за факт воскресение Христа. Или, так как вы не в России, Пасха для вас - это просто очередной день? Заранее спасибо за ответ!
While it's good information it doesn't explain anything about what or how Christmas is against Islam. There are both Christian celebrations and secular celebrations. This video kinda of assumes it's Christian celebrations. I'd bet the play group party was just sweets and punch with presents - I doubt there were religious overtones in it at all. Maybe sone talk about Santa Claus, who is mostly secular these days.
Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ, whom Christians believe to be the son of God and God himself. It is very much a religious holiday and we as Muslims are not allowed to imitate Christians, Jews or polytheists! All of the commercial non-sense has pagan roots - also religious. “Today I have perfected your faith for you, completed My favour upon you, and chosen Islam as your way.” Quran 5:3 There is no need to celebrate anything other than Islamic holidays. Please educate yourself and May Allah swt guide us all to the righteous path.
While it is a secular holiday for many people, a lot of Christmas symbols and traditions come from Pagan origins, which I presume is why it's against Islam. Same thing goes for Halloween, it's not a religious holiday nowadays but it has Pagan origins.
Not agree … for me it just a moment for being in family , not celebraring jesus ‘s birth. Let s see to other religion that we re open minded … and we can respect each other
@@Yousoufnaal exactly, we should respect each other. Islam got nothing against non Muslims celebrating Christmas. However why do we have to celebrate Christmas? Just to please Christian’s? Who is not respectful now? This video is very respectful and got great tips on how to be respectful to each other and find a compromise!
“Christmas is hard to navigate” Ramadan is too. Focus on your own holiday pls and stop decorating for Christmas! Its disrespectful and i find it extremely disappointing that muslims decorate and put a tree up. I do not decorate for ramadan. Christmas is for Christians hence the CHRIST in the word.
Why are you lying Christmas is celebrated everywhere not as a Christian(religious) festival but as to celebrate as you said this time of year. Anyways in one hand you may say well we believe in Esa and on the other hand do not like to celebrate His day.

Thank you so much for this. My first year navigating this holiday with family. I am nervous.
Aw my pleasure! It will get easier with time inshallah I’m so happy for you!
As a Christian, I won't celebrate Eid in my house either. But as a Muslim , you can come to us for dinners .
As a new person in islam compared to me you are very amazing. Keep continue making more video ! I really love to watch it.
