- 2020 Kia Soul GT-Line Turbo Review. The new 2020 Kia Soul is certainly a compact car champ. The boxcar is a segment that is slowly disappearing, however, Kia soldiers on with the new Soul as it has been selling extremely well. This model is the Kia Soul GT-Line Turbo so it uses a DCT transmission and is FWD. We shall see how this new Kia Soul performs and if it is worth buying.

Really impressed with this little car it does and fits so much despite it's size. Really enjoyable driving experience that Kia continues to deliver, next project will be the 2019 Mazda Miata as well as the 2019 Toyota Rav4 XLE. Will try to get my hands on a 2013 LS460 as well if possible. Thanks again for watching, hope this review was helpful.

The new Soul looks good on anyone who drives it. Really looks trendy and fashionable and makes anyone who drives it seem much younger than they really are.

Just bought the 2020 Kia Soul Turbo - had to get the turbo in order to get the Pedestrian detection. Amazing amount of room and works well for my husband and I (a lot shorter). Love this car. The turbo is wild, fast, and a lot of fun.

Great review as always! I was curious as what your opinion on turbo vs naturally aspirated vehicles is and which you think is better for dependability. I Have only owned one turbo in my life and while it was fun it wasn't without it's issues. I own a 2019 Kia Forte and while I won't win any races with that little car it looks great and is a blast to drive. Kia has really come a long way with that ivt and honestly as a driver you would never know it was a cvt. Again awesome review and I like how down to earth you are. To own I think you made a great choice going for the normal Forte with the IVT it’s not going to give you any troubles down the road. And I agree Kia Is headed in the Right direction, I love how they offer that NA port injected 4 cylinder that people can own for a very long time with minimal headaches. I would say if ride quality is a priority, then the Kia Soul is by far the best riding car. I loved the Veloster R spec, one of the best driving cars and I’m sure the new Forte GT will be similar.
However, as a daily, the least fatiguing choice would be the Soul. The Soul also drives identical to the standard Forte which I think is great. But certainly test them all out, all 3 are great

The button on the fob for the hatch is to unlock just the hatch rather than the doors as well

Appreciate your review of this vehicle it is one of the most practical sub compact wagons/CUV/SUV/hatchback on the market. I drive a 2016 1.6L w/6 speed manual and I get 26 mpg city and 31 hwy,, the GT line will be my next one if I can get it with a manual transmission with the 2.0L, the turbo would be nice but I don’t necessarily need that. Keep up the good review.
Hey thanks so much I appreciate that. Yea unfortunately in the states, manual only comes in the base trim. Every other trim gets an automatic. I would love if other trims did get a manual, this car would be so much fun with one
Another great review. Personally, I like the EX Designer Collection with better looking alloy wheels and the led headlights/fog lights. But you get it in selected colors only.

May get this with the regular 4 engine. Do you know if the steering would be a little over-light on all trims, or could it be a little less so on the trim with 16" wheels?
Hey Victor thanks for stopping by. So with larger wheels like 18” your steering will respond much quicker but like I was saying in the video, I think this car reacts a bit too quickly haha.
I think 16” rims would be perfect because it would make the steering feel more natural and of course the ride will be more comfortable. I really think it would be the perfect set up.

Thanks for the good review. And representing the old people, we are 63 and 66, we have enjoyed the 2016 pair of Kia Souls that we bought. Would consider this one too. if this new remote is like ours, the hatch button on the remote only unlocks the hatch separately, that's all it does.

I actually prefer the looks of the older ones but this looks like a great vehicle otherwise.
Yea some people were saying they liked the old generation more in terms of looks but I guess that's subjective. But I agree, great car!
I like both of them, but the pano roof the old one offered make things feel so much nicer inside. The old one actually won a Red Dot award for design. I think I would have a hard time not opting for the turbo in either.
heyo me again, loved the video! so in Canada we dont have the 1.6turbo for the new kia soul (for now at least). So we have only the regular 4 cylinder engine. therefore, would you recommend a limited model? :P Im just such a sucker for premium sound systems XD
Haha go for it the sound system is really good and has a ton of bass. But despite the strong bass, it never rattles or sounds weird so I’m sure you will enjoy it! Thank again David for stopping by!

Hey Bud, thanks for your fantastic review of the GT-Line Kia. Doug Muro can't say enough great things about this vehicle as well. However, considering I will be turning 57 in 4 months, I'm more interested in something a little more sophisticated like the 2020 Kia Sportage SX-T. Kia has given it a refresh that reminds me of a poor man's Porsche Cayenne. I would love if you can get your hands on one?
Thanks Greg and yes this is great but I was just about to make a video on my most favorite Kia ever....that title actually belonged to the current generation Kia Sorrento haha. The new Santa Fe is out and this is probably a good representation of what the next gen Sorrento will be.
I love the current gen Sorrento it blew me away when I drove it and I only drove the base 4 cylinder! That thing with the V6 would be mighty. It drives like a car and almost feels superior to some German SUVs. You can probably snag some great deals on the current gen V6s because like the Santa Fe, a turbo 4 cylinder will replace it. But I do love the Sorrento check it out sir!
Edit: I went on a total tangent about the Sorrento and I just realized I misread what you wrote you asked about the Sportage 😂 my mistake sir haha but if the Sorrento is anything to go by, the Sportage should be amazing. I will try to get my hands on some of these vehicles! Sorry I can’t read haha

Although I'm not a Kia fan I appreciate their value for low prices. I do like the Honda Fit interior design better but it's pricey. The Kia Soul is so cheap and I'm glad to have it over the Honda. It's spacious, upright design is my favourite, the tail lights and glass-like visibility is much appreciated in the face of blind spots thanks to crash standards.

I assume so this is a cheaper car it’s not going to be like a Huracan Dual clutch more like a Volkswagen set up

I just bought a 2020. My third Soul.
the trunk control on the FOB is just for the lock, no Kia has come with a self opening trunk. which I would gladly get rid of the sad sunroof and the paddle shifters for. seeing as how the gt does not get the panoramic sunroof, for what ever reason.

I’ve seen a dealer discount it to 25k no need to have sticker shock over MSRP prices no one pays that much. However, regular 4 cylinder is a bargain
