I grew up listening to Marvin Gaye because my mom loved him, just like your mama did. I made sure my kids grew up listening to him too. Someone commented that he is "black love", well I'm white, and I think he was just "pure love" for everyone. ❤
This live is probably one of my FAVORITES from him. Ugh he's so good. RIP❤

One of the very best R&B singers of ALL TIME. You are. correct, Let's get it on had a broader appeal for its sexiness but for singing and overall enjoyment and meaning, Distant Lover and If I Should Die Tonight are better songs. Happy Birthday Mom.
