We just lost a national treasure, someone that could stand toe-to-toe in her heels and sing with the intensity of a James Brown or Al Green (very different styles but equally intense and emotionally in your face, something I feel is lacking and has been replaced by formula marketing and fakery bling in so many of today's artists). Who else could bring out the sheer catharsis of this breakup song and dedicate it to cancer!? What a way to fight back. There will never bring another like her. Rest in peace Ms. Jones.

Isn't it strange? I discovered her today, 25days. a friend of mine suffers from pancreatic cancer too but the alternative medicine seems to do wonders on him. I'm glad he has luck.
