I love using irish spring for laundry. I microwave it until it’s all bubbly and then I smash it with a hammer. Mix with baking soda and borax and wala - detergent for days. Makes my laundry smell so fresh
I dont use a washcloth. I'm the only one in my household that showers, and uses irish spring. I live Alone with my maligator, and my 2 cats. I like the Irish spring, sport soap. It smells the best..

@Fred Daniali Yes, it's perfectly awful now, and RANK is a perfect description. They added Patchouli, Lemongrass, and Eucalyptus from an early advert promoting the new scent called "Original Clean". Now if they were returning to the scent pre-1982, when the bar became stronger and a bit sweeter smelling, that name would be apt... but to call this original is both deceptive and disappointing. After using it, there's a faint washing powder or laundry detergent-like sillage... Oddly similar to Original Tide from ages ago. Nasty stuff I don't care to smell like.
And I bathed myself that way for the first 25 years of my life until I discovered the poofy sponge. Still can't work out how a washcloth is supposed to work.

I used to like Irish Spring, now the new formula has a bunch of patchouli in it and it smells rank!
They removed the bergamot! I still think the old formula had hints of patchouli.
