Patches is a free 1/1. 1/1 IS a bad statline but its free none the less
@@TheJagarenI think patches is one of those cards that isn’t very impactful in a low sample size. Essentially having a 29 card deck over a 30 card deck is a huge thing when huge amounts of games are recorded but on a game by game basis it’s hard to see

I'd love to see a redux of this where its like, a bracket almost. You guys collectively try and make the best decks you can and do a bracket with every tribe and see which tribe is the strongest
I am disappointed that Eddy didn't with beast tribe and do the "Rat, rat we are the rats". I feel like it's so iconic for him, that i would love to see it here! But overall very cool video and I'm going to try this format with my friends.

How about a format where you can only use cards from two specific expansions in each deck? I remember my friends and I tried something similar somewhere around the Gajestan times, and it was unexpectedly fun. Mainly because we couldn't use cards from the basic set in there and used very strange cards instead

I don't know if this is still true but there was a time when entering treant into the collections search function showed amalgams.
But I tried, amalgams did not count towards treant synergies (tested with cultivate and mulchmuncher)
I still love my demon deck with the demon buffs but its more of a midrange warlock deck

Before going into this video: I have to admit that I'm way less excited by the concept than I usually am with these challenges. Quests have already taught us that "type pirate into the search bar" does not lead to a fun or creative deck-building experience.
New Video Idea: Whizbang battle Old vs. New
Old Whizbang tends to use decks that are at least semi-relevant to the meta, you may as well just take New Whizbang onto the ladder.

these videos just make me wish blizzard would implement a custom mode for friends. let us change our deck size, our health, fatigue damage, draws per turn, so on and so on. it would probably lead to an influx in people friending each other too. like come on dog

2nd minions Rarran plays breaks his own rules right away. Sure it has dragon in it's name, but it's a BEAST.
The rules state of it has dragon in its name than it is fine
they just need to have 20 minions of the tribe and then the other cards only have to say dragon on them, even if they are minions
The rules were, 20 minions of the tribe, and 10 cards that contain the tribe name on the card. Snapdragon, has the word dragon on the card. It’s legal and if Eddy felt like it wasn’t fair, I would have conceded and changed the deck.

I have a suggestion for a new game: No More Murlocs
This is based on No More Jockeys by Alex Horne, but hearthstone themed where you replace naming famous people with naming hearthstone cards.
1. Players take turns naming a hearthstone card, and a category that card fits.
2. Subsequent plays must not breach any of the categories.
3. The game continues until a player 'Challenges' that a card fits into an earlier category.
4. If a player concedes to a Challenge, the game is over and the challenger wins.
5. Following the naming of a category, a player can ask 'Name Another', to have their opponent name another card who falls into that category.
6. If a person fails to Name Another, they forfeit the game.
(I just copy pasted the rule set from the no more jockeys fandom wiki and changed the text)
Here is an example round:
Rarran: Murloc Warleader, no more cards with the murloc tribe
Guest: Secretkeeper, no more elves in card art
Rarran: Shudderwock, no more shaman legendary minions
Guest: Consecration, no more paladin spells
Rarran: Snowflipper Penguin, no more 0-cost minions
Guest: Voidwalker, no more taunt minions
Rarran: Sunfury Protector, no more battlecry minions
Guest: Challenge Sunfury protector is an elf.

I quit playing Hearthstone for a variety of reasons but I cannot understate how much I disliked the feeling that World of Warcraft was being left behind. I think most obviously this is from the "kidifying" that was done with the newer, more exaggerated art style that became prevalent over time, but the big thing for me is the shift towards putting out Hearthstone original content that was apropos of nothing in World of Warcraft. I understand they are two different games, but I started playing Hearthstone because I was a fan of WoW. I'm all good with Hearthstone original content that is rooted in WoW (I think Witchwood is a great example of this with cards like Shudderwock, the Glass Knight, Baku, etc.) but it feels increasingly like they do not want to do that anymore, and it turns out I'm not a fan of Hearthstone when it lacks World of Warcraft in its heart. I look at modern card names and art and I just have to wonder how they relate to the world that drew me into this game...and they often don't.
Whizbang's Workshop is a great example of how the game feels different. It is loosely rooted in WoW, but it doesn't feel like its part of the world or truly belongs in Azeroth. it feels like goofy meta joking about WoW. Say what you will about the Brode era but back then it felt like Hearthstone had Azeroth in its heart. I'll always enjoy something like Blackrock Mountain, Karazhan, Knights of the Frozen Throne, or Witchwood over something like Festival of Legends, Showdown in the Badlands, or Whizbang's Workshop.
Or maybe I'm just rationalizing all of this because I'm done with the game and nostalgic about how good it used to be.

*UHM ACTUALLY* Snapdragon is a *beast,* not a *dragon,* and it doesn't have "dragon" anywhere in it's card text!
Also Demonic Assault doesn't have "demon" anywhere in it's card text.
Edit: Eddy & Rarran agreed that this card was allowed anyway.
I think it was allowed on that it has dragon in its name (which is part of its card text )

Haven’t been inspired to do these, the time and energy goes into bigger videos, the getting 12 wins in arena or the recent yugioh video is a good example. Working one off steam as well.
