I like hearing the guest/client talk about their hair situation, what led them to come in. I can definitely relate with this client since I also have straight hair and tend to get “basic” haircuts.

Fred, that was one bomb haircut. Went from dad to CHAD... Definitely keep that point cut style with that textured amount... Looks thicker than before and it brings out your hair's natural color.😜👍🏻
Apart from Dan’s amazing technical skill, his ability to bring out the personality of his clients is one of the reasons I’m hooked on this channel. I always intend to watch the beginning and skip to the end of the video, just to see the before and after, but invariably watch the whole thing, mesmerised by the conversation. Always great to see the interaction between two lovely, genial gentlemen and the transformation that follows. Thanks for another great video. 😊
This was one of those videos where the interaction, engagement and connection between Dan and his client was so heartening I almost forgot Dan was doing a haircut video. Fred came in with a great hairstyle to begin with but the end result was an amazingly textured and balanced haircut. Great job Dan as always. I think Fred would be one of those individuals where you could sit in a coffee shop with and have a stimulating conversation about life for hours!
A little trimming makes a lot of difference in reshaping a style. It's nice to see the client's forehead uncovered and texture added on top. It draws your gaze upward and opens up his face, a good-looking face. Beautiful job, Dan!
ABSOLUTELY!!!....when a new customer sees you for the first time and says "Do whatever you think is best"... the best thing to do initially because you don't want to overwhelm them is tooooo....."Take what they already have and MAKE IT BETTER"....excellent advise!! I use that all the time. All you out there, take this advise...I do all the time with new customers.
In my eyes, he went from looking like a simple boy with indistinct features to a man with a sharp, angular. very appealing face. Maybe sophisticated is the word I am looking for. I like it very much.
Dan, your scissor work is on point! I’ve never seen a barber use shears the way you do… so relaxing to watch…it’s like watching a sculptor. I wish we had barbers in the US that cut this way.
This is my favourite video you guys have done so far. The consultation was great, the conversation throughout the cut was relaxing yet engaging and the finished haircut was exactly what the client needed. Amazing.
He looks absolutely fantastic. I didn't think Dan could do anything with hair so short on an arriving client. But leaving, that man has changed from someone I wouldn't particularly notice on the street to a man who's really handsome. To think he had it in him all the time, and Dan pulled off the cloth like a magician and Voila: The true extraordinary Fred.
Dan you nailed it as always! Some people in the comments say that no haircut was needed but imo you got the balance just right. Thanks to your experience even minor changes have made a difference. Also the razor work and the texture made the haircut pop. Keep it up

This is a great video Dan. Hair cut really transformed his looks in the sense you made him ,really his best. Texturised cut made it so versatile from his original rather bland flat hair to a more lively bright sporty zesty look altogether . It is one of your best works I think.

I think this is one of your best videos yet. I struggled to see what you could do bearing in mind he already had short hair but you absolutely transformed it. The way you were able to style it in the end was amazing. I never thought that was possible with finer straight hair. Excellent
In the end at 41:40 he actually looked like Ryan Gosling sort of. Also normally it feels like a friendly barber conversation, but these two felt like old friends for some reason.

Now at the end of the cut and this looks fantastic compared to the before , so much softer, neater, cleaner cut. The after is superb once some product has been added. Dan is a genius with his styling once product has been added too. It wont grow out a mushroom shape either.

Wow. This guy looked so regular, and even a bit “herbie”. You made him look like a leading man! I learn something from every video. You showed about face shape. Why he didn’t need a high fade.
I always wonder what I could have , but at 63 I don't want to look like someone trying to hard to look young , although I have a lot of hair it's just grey and dead straight. The videos always look like they receive the best cut they have ever had.
Dans knowledge is fascinating it is learnt ,very much individual style of cutting to him and as a barber of almost 28 years i can relate to how his haircuts develop when there not a pacific style.
He is a magician! When the video started I thought the guy looked like he just had a haircut. I didn’t think he had much to work with. He made it very different and so much better! Then he can make it look many different ways with the wave of his hand! And every way looked great!
