Sir why don't you use AutoCAD for the illustration of the drawing, or even sketchbook pro can be a good alternative for the current approach and would be a handy tool for you, but there is a lot of chaos due to sheets, so if possible try to minimize the chaos and in last your lectures are a really good source of learning,
