Keep in mind that he played for a team with absolutely zero structure so he was allowed to play more freely because nobody in JYP had zero clue where to be and what to do on the ice. I many times wished he'd just make a simple pass to teammate but also often those teammates weren't in positions where the pass made any sense. If and when he goes to NA biggest thing will be getting him adjusted to a team that actually has a gameplan and specific roles for players.
Top 5 physical 6'6" player who prefers to dictate pace? That's a mature player. Your points/counterpoints are so good Simon. Seriously one of the best evaluators to the public, and this is one of my favorite videos so far. Thank you so much!
I wouldn't be surprised to see him get picked in the teens if he interviews very well at the combine. As long as he can convince teams that he's coachable and willing to do whatever it takes to make it then his tools are just too great to pass up. Definitely physically developed enough that they can play him in the AHL right away as well, and get all the coaching and ice time he'll need to develop.
Great evaluation. I'm hoping he slips to the Penguins at #44 or #46. Considering the amount of quality Defensemen in this upcoming draft, I think there's a chance he could slip (considering the over-age element).
Thanks man ! Yeah it's possible since he'll turn 20 in december. I watched a few playoffs games this week and I had to drop him a few spots (granted, I had a really bold stance on him). Skating was a bit of an issue in those games, I think I'll play safer a bit.
Side note: Do you incorporate any video-derived kinesiology analysis in your S&C practice? I am intending on developing a studio that uses motion-capture data with AI to create predictive data sets for athletic development.

Why did this team not have structure?

No, not really. A few times with clients to better show them their mechanical flaws during a movement but usually I don't work with videos.
