Mass Effect 3 - (Sur'Kesh) Major Kirrahe: "Remember Virmire?" (Wrex/Garrus Banter)

ME1: Kirrahe = Green, Shepard = Blonde, Wrex = Badass
ME3: Kirrahe = Brown, Shepard = Redhead, Wrex = Smoldering Good Looks
Gibbed Save Editor ME3:

Illusive Man's Eyes:
• How to get The Illusiv...
Here's what I do every time I want to apply Illusive man eyes/change the color of the eyes.
Applying the eyes:
1 - Open Gibbed Save Editor for ME3
2 - Open a save file from your game
3 - Go to the player tab
4 - Go to appearance tab
5 - Select presets(sunglasses icon) and open from file
6 - Click on the Eye folder and select and open the file "The Illusive Man (A).me3appearance
Now the Illusive man's eyes are applied
To change the color:
1 - In Gibbed Save Editor go to the Raw tab
2 - Scroll down to 3.Squad
3 - Click the arrow next to "player"
4 - A list of your Shepard's attributes should appear go down the list and select appearance
5 - Make sure "Head Morph" is true or else you can't get the eyes
6 - Select Head Morph and click on Vector Parameters. (Vector Parameters is where you'll change the color)
7 - To the right of Vector Parameters is and icon with three dots ... in a gray square, click on it.
8 - a small window should appear "VectorParameter Collection Editor"
9 - under the "Members:" list scroll down to "21 EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector"
10 - to the right under "Misc" is "value" Click on value and A, B, G, R appear.
11 - leave A at 1 and change the values of B(blue), G(green), and R(red) to 0. I believe this makes the eye more vibrant, colorful.
12 - look back the the Members: list and select "22 Emis_Color"
13 - Click on the arrows for Misc and value(just like step 10) A, B, G, R should appear.
14 - Leave A at 10 and choose and number you want for values B, G, and R. If all (B,G,&R) values are the same number the eyes will be white, if all are set to 0 then I think they'll be black. If i want purely green eyes I set B & R to 0, and G to 10.
15 - When you're done setting the values click OK and save(Save to file). I advise you to create a new save file, don't overwrite. So that if you don't like the outcome you can go back and change the values again to a different color.
Hope this helps
Thanks for watching!
I just realized that Mordin was the weird one talked funny, not his whole race.
Still love that beautiful bastard though.
Genius scientists tend to be eccentric
Mordin, the hamster in coffee
CanterlotCrusader they all talk a lil fast bc they only live like 40 years, mordin being such a busy body talks faster
+TheMMObro would make sense, plus its more efficient short of turning himself into a synthetic voicebox
SyncKo Mordin will always be better than Padok Wiks. Maybe we should throw you both in the "paddock" and put you up on display.
When Kirrahe leaned in and told my Shepherd that he was ready to throw down with the Reapers in the fight for Earth, my respect levels went from 100% to over 9000%. I always liked Kirrahe, even though his role in ME1 was minor. Didn't hesitate to risk his own life on Virmire, immediately pledges support for Earth, has no problem sacrificing himself for the Councilor if needed, and is always happy to work with you. Just a straight up hero who would have made an amazing companion.
Which means there's no real reason to sabotage the genophage cure, other than to be a false renegade
Same for me
Garrus and his burning passion for cool guns...gets me everytime!
Hold on he needs to do a bit more calibrating
lol at Wrex bullying Salarians in the background. Total bro he is.
I LOLed so hard. Wrex is, by far, my favourite character in any video game ever.
even better with Javik
@@ostwind7031 Javik: He is correct, they were delicacy in my cycle.
wrex and garrus the best character in ME
Couldn't agree more! I actually find them the best characters in ANY video games. They're just amazing.
my team in the first game. Unstoppable! ^^
ahwai82 I prefer tali and garrus (I am a technician/tactician man!) overload, sabotage, and damping all on the battlefield means I am beating biotics ALL DAY!
Javik was awesome in ME3, I always took him and then Wrex or Garrus on alternating missions. Then played again with them again but on the missions either didn't tag along. Javik's banter with those two are just as great.
Mordin, Legion, Thane and Javik are on the same level as them.
virmire might be the best mission in mass effect because it has everything even the damn mako
i hated mako levels
i hate the mountains!!!! i always fall and get stuck!
Virmire was actually a good level made for the Mako. it was exploring and surveying minerals with the Mako that was a nightmare
Don't drive into the water. Don't walk into the water (not sure if Shepard can't swim or if the armor is just too heavy).
The best part is where ashley dies :D
It's a shame that Kirrahe isn't available as a team member after meeting Thane in Citadel and later rescuing Bakara. He seems to be a guy who would say few funny things during gameplay.
Imagine him during the citadel dlc
....Now I'm imagining Kirrahe getting involved with Garrus and Zaeed's antics in Shepard's apartment....
Kirrahe can die in Mass Effect. If Thane died during the suicide mission, Kirrahe dies saving the Salarian Councilor. If Kirrahe died on Virmire & Thane died during the suicide mission, the Salarian councilor ends up dead.
Nice of you to go through the trouble of putting all this together. I quite like the flashback style you did.
I do have a soft spot for that "hold the line" speech.
One does not simply shoot Wrex.
I distrust anyone who kills him. I mean, you cannot be a good person if you KILL WREX. No.
BoodelRio but you could have been a pragmatic person. At that time, Wrex was a mercenary hired by the Shadow Broker which means that he could turn either because someone paid him to switch sides, or someone pays the Shadow Broker to switch sides. And he does threaten to defect to Saren because he has a genophage cure. As Kirrahe asks “Is he going to be a problem?” Wrex starts firing his gun loudly - as if to give away the camp’s position to the Geth.
Underrated comment.
@@brainconqueror8095 Wrex said that he wanted to fight for something more then credits, that being something meaningful, like stopping Saren. I doubt he wouldve been bought off or switched sides. Also the Shadwo Broker only bought him off for one mission, not for the entirety of ME1. Wrex is simply pissed on Virmire, that a supposed cure is being developed, but that if it leaves, Saren will just use them as tools. Thats with the benefit of hindsight, and if you speak to him afterward is what he says. So unless you want all the war assets possible, keep Wrex alive.
@@mickeyj5922 if you speak to him. Remember that when you try for the first time he tells you to shove off. You have to practically plead with him to talk, and most military officers I know are going to be really put off by his kind of attitude.
Wrex: "Last time I was at the Citadel, I didn't see a Turian statue in your honor."
*flashback to the Krogan statue*
Garrus: "Just wait till this war is over."
*awkward pause with no flashforward*
Considering what happened to the citadel I'm not surprised
my god
facial animations of ME3 are so much better than andromeda
Ashley's ME 1 outfit always gave me the impression that she was a medic. So I found it strange to see how well she fought.
when i first saw her i thought the same
+Zerebrat Eightyseven
Actually she's not a medic at all.
Date Masamune because in ME1 Alluance colours were white and red, not blue. That's why she has phoenix armor.
@@AlexZebol Later on one of the Cerberus bases I found phoenix armor to suit my whole team. Imagine Wrex runing in pink.
I first saw her armor and went.
what kinda idiot wears pink in the middle of a war
I like Kirrahe, they should've made it to where he could become part of the Normandy Crew. He would've fit in well with Tali, Liara, Ash/Kaidan, and especially Garrus. In the Citadel DLC, at the party he could've helped Garrus and Zaeed rig the apartment or could've tried to drink Ash off the table. And his side mission to become closer friends, would be to talk around and find out what happened to his old squadmates and cheer him up when he realizes some didnt make it or are in docrinated and have to kill them.
Also Kirrahe would've brought such a nice ability set that we didn't get in the ME3 story squad. I think he would have had something like Shadow strike, Sabotage, and Arc grenade and Cryo Blast if he needed a fourth.
Wow! Kaidan is voiced by the man who also voices Carth Onasi from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Replublic! Ahh...... memories.
and Delta-62 from republic commando
wait he was scorch?
what does DC stand for? yeah ;D Raphael Sbarge is the voice actor :)
Am I the only one who just wishes we had the option to hug Wrex?? I would just hug him all the time. ALL. THE. TIME.
BoodelRio Lol yea. And everytime we did he would say a funny comment or something. Showing how suprised he would be XD
Wrex is my best homie and a bro, would love to go have drinks with him and exchange war stories. Garrus is a close second .
Kirrahe and his speech...where is moving emotion "You shall not pass!" sort. I now understand why Morden called him something of "a bit of a cloaca" if he dies.
+RuralTowner he calls Kirrahe a cloaca if he dies, or lives, lol.
Given the krogans situation, I'm glad that I kept Wrex alive in ME1. Wrex and Grunt convinced me that the Krogans are worth the price of salarian aid. With Wreav instead, this was a whole different thing :P
18:30 "Hold The Line!" Fucking Mordin Ruined It XD
Military Bravado, jargon, chest pounding
It was not neccesary, he preffered 'get job done and go home'
Matt Allen
Yeah XD
love isn't always on time
DharkDemonBlade uhh... no offense
Virmire? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Or I think so. I should ask Shepard about that...
Kirrahe's so glorious.
Oh, by the way, Kirrahe isn't brown - it's the lighting. He's not as vivid-green as he was in ME1, but if you look at when he's firing his Scorpion at 23:32 (where there's actual bright lighting), you see he's basically now a pale-shade of darker-green. You could say it's age, given the short life-span of Salarians and his "Never liked the idea of growing old anyway" quote if he dies later.
I didn't know you could save Captain Kirrahe in Mass effect. I managed to do that in my second playthrough, ages since I played the first one. I'm very glad he had a place in the third game :D
A huge place actually.
Thane not there then the major saves the salarian council member and dies.
Wrex killed then the major will lead his forces on retake earth and you'll see him give a speech to STG not the normal Wrex or wreav speech to the krogan.
Plus thanks to him you get the STG assist anyway genophage sabotaged or not.
18:30 *WE WILL*
hold the line
this part is epic whit the prothean, he said the prothean eat salarian in old times
MrAntonietor “it was a delicacy”
As much as I love bringing Liara here, I love the interaction between Wrex and Garrus more.
There's also Javik.
13:20 dude this expression is so real it gets me everytime. ME1 was way ahead of its time.
It almost exclusively worked for aliens though. Even when the game was new, I hated the closeups on human faces that we see at the start.
8:53 when I played this part no matter which option you pick it just makes your character say the same thing
I love what you did with mordin during the me1 "flashback" I couldn't stop laughing
I regularly rewatch this to remind me of better times..
"Was I?"
Best line right there.
Am I the only one who think the salarians are super adorable? Especially that expression in 4:10 almost killed me >< and 8:00 also.
God they are so cute~~
They used to eat flies
I love Garrus' reaction to the grenade pistol. TRhough Liaras and Vegas reactions are pretty cool too.
"I need a Krogan with a shotgun...."
Very cool; though I would recommend editing down your flashbacks - I thought the flashbacks lasted too long. Just give enough of the flashback to support the point of the ME3 conversations.
Heh. Female Shep's "Wrex!" sounds so jaded.
So late. On another Mass Effect binge. Just had to say that this was fantastically edited.
To get the best out of Wrex on Sur'Kesh: Garrus and Javik.
Is it me or are the weapon sounds in Mass Effect 1 more powerful sounding than the other games?
Technically speaking, the weapons in ME1 have unlimited energy but they overheat. Weapons in ME2 and 3 just vent the overheat in cartdriges, so well... perhaps thats the reason they are less powerfull and sounds less (because well... if you take a little bit of power, perhaps you can shoot more times because you can store the heat produced... i cant imagine the original ME1 rifle storing the heat it produced xD).
Rezo
Not really accurate. All the Thermal Clips do is negate the time required for the heat sink to cool down. Instead of overheating, they just eject the heat sink and replace it with a new one. It doesn’t effect the weapons damage output or the amount of thermal energy they normally produce when fired.
It’s explained in the codex why this refit was made. It was simply to increase the maximum number of rounds fired in a short amount of time. It doesn’t effect ME’s weapon lore in any way.
@@ninboy01 They should have found a way to implement the cool down for gameplay. Like, if you have any thermal clips, you can just let your gun cool down, but it'll take a long time. Though doing so, they would have to make the gameplay a lot more challenging and actually more in line with RPG mechanics. A shame they went for the typical third-person shooter route.
@@Razgriz_01 that was sort of the idea originally, mass effect 2 was apparently originally going to feature both systems in a way. Originally, your weapon could overheat, but you could just pop in a thermal clip to reset the heat.
Apparently they found this way too op and balancing properly was extremely hard. As such, they just got rid of over heating completely.
yknow virmire mission really gets to me they act as if all you have is 2 squadmembers whats the rest of the team doing? i went to both sides protect the bomb or meet up with the frontal assault team from the looks of it if either side had lets say wrex helping them out they would be totally fine i mean it takes like 2 seconds to take out the enemy team when you flank em like that. felt like such a plot propellor having 1 of your team mates die like that
Can't believe the gamerpoop "get females" isn't even edited, shepherd really does just say that
I've played the games before but still, I really appreciate those flashbacks you put in from previous games.
This is why Wrex is different from Male Krogans. He can think and be reasoned with
I never realised the respect Kirrahe shows Wrex here when I first played this, acknowledging it'd be the salarians in medbay if Wrex went unsupervised... Glad I always saved him in ME:1
LMAO the cut to mordin was such blue balls to kirrahe's speech but so fucking funny
Man, I love ME1. You could get +28 paragon in one conversation.
Anyone else feel like Garrus is the type to start his own LP channel after everything is over?
Telling someone „no heroics“ when going into a virtual suicide mission...
„I heard an Urdnot went up to the Presidium once“
13:01, seriously wrex? a standoff with someone who youf seen is quite a badass and all you get out is your pistol not your shotgun?
@frightwolf you have to help him retrieve his family's armour that was stolen from him by Turians but that is back on ME1 when he's part of your team
I really need to get through the original Mass Effect trilogy, mainly because of Wrex. He's left a damn good impression on me so far.
Very good job on this. Covers the whole aspect of the story
“We land, get the females, and leave before anyone changes their mind.”
Me: “This is the way.”
Gorgeous cutting of cutscenes.
little combat tip if you wish to instakill stuff without hacking in ME3 folks: build shep for sniper rifle damage as an infiltrator and equip anything to increase weapon/headshot damage and go for a damage boosting/accuracy boosting accessory on ur best sniper rifle and activate cryo ammo and watch stuff get obliterated
Wrex, Garrus, Liara, Thane, and Tali are all my top 5 favorite characters
If you speak with Wrex enough and recover his family armor you won't need the paragon check, in ME1 if I can remember correctly.
18:48 music so badass only Saren and Anderson can use it
Based Wrex
I love Shep's reaction to Wrex jumping out the ship. "Not this again..."
Experience fighting Krogan in three games tells me that those 5 or 6 Snipers the Salarians have there would be incapable of killing a Krogan and only serve to piss them off.
Experience with Wrex tells me Shepard can kill him with a small handgun...
Zaeed almost did it with a knife. And that was Drack from Andromeda.
@@barrybend7189 that was Zaeed pulling some fancy trick that may or may not work more than once. And he wasn‘t fighting Wrex.
@@raylast3873 he did fight Drack who's older and more experienced than Wrex.
@@barrybend7189 older and more experienced does not necessarily spell stronger or better especially not when it comes to Urdnot Wrex, who is way at the top of the food chain and kind of acknowledged as a freak of nature.
Wish you could save them both. You should have to really work for it, like complete almost all side quests or something but it should be possible
I miss being able to freely talk to your squadmates like you could in ME1.
Don't get me wrong, ME2/ME3 are great, but I just wish you could talk to your squadmates more often.
You know what the Mass Effect games remind me of? A Stellaris playthrough.
note to self: dont make a krogan angry it wont work out well in the end
Shit, my Wrex died in the firs Mass effect. I did´t want to kill him, that bitch Ashley killed him. Any idea how to keep him alive?
Emilienn84 You need a certain amount of Paragon/Renegade points to convince him to stand down, as seen in 13:00 of this video.
Gocko Or talk with Wrex enough to get his Family Armor mission and complete it in ME1.
Emilienn84 Use gibbed's save editor , there you can edit your game when importing it to ME 2 or ME 3 and change the decisions you made/ the characters you lost.
Many thanx for the help people! :) I have already finished the whole trilogy.
Hated the ending so much...
Emilienn84 Yeah, you kind of just want to forget those ever happened. Here's to hoping Mass Effect 4 redeems it.
Wow, never knew you could talk to all of the squadmates on Virmire.
Holy shit those eyes are amazing.
24:00 Batman Begins quote from Commisioner Gordon as Batman shows the Batmobile
It broke my heart on my 1st ME1 playthrough to not have enough Paragon or Renegade points to convince Wrex to back down and he had to be put down.
There's the mission to get his family armor to convince him without needing Paragon or Renegade.
@@barrybend7189 Well, don't have that problem now, it was years ago when the game 1st came out. But I always get his family armor, it never comes up in the conversation though
Gaurus makes the best moments in all Mass Effect Trilogys. Also Wrex gets the best blood thirsty moments as well! Let's hope this new Mass Effect is good like this these 3.
Thank you! You can tell I've only played ME2 and ME3, but I was so sucked into the whole thing that ME1 is in my backlog. And after playing through ME3 with Wrex and Wreav, I sure as heck am not going to kill Wrex off.
Kaiden became a Major, Kirrahe became a Major, meanwhile Shep only got a promotion from Lt. Commander to Commander after ME1. Didn't even get a posthumous promotion.
Wrex/Liara. I ship it
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! PLIS
Well, there is a theory stating he is her grandfather... (He and Aria/Aleena would be Aethyta's parents)
@@TheCyntos Hardly. Aethyta mentions that both her parents are dead.
I love the flashbacks
I once gave a bastardized, abridged version of the Kirrahe 'Hold the Line' speech during a game of BF4.
'Our influence stopped the Chinese, but before that, we held the line. Our influence stopped the Russians! But before that, We! Held! The Line! Our influence WILL stop the US! In the battle today, we WILL! HOLD! THE! LINE!'
Acknowledged.
I never noticed Wrex bullying the Salarian at 2:35 XD
slightly miffed that Wrex clearly still has Throw here, but when you get to use him as a squaddie on the Citadel DLC his only biotic power is Barrier.
Hmm. BlondieShep looks good in-game, suppose I should try it the next playthrough.
"Science has always been our best defense. The research we do here has kept Sur'kesh safe for millenia."
"Was it before or after uplifting krogans?"
"That's unfair."
"I am not even trying."
Pretty sure he says the loyalty quote if you did his side quest and got his family armor.
Ahh the gimili and legolas off mass effect
They found the females on TACHANKA because he is the only one strong enough to match a Krogan
Well my Kirrahe died. So eh
I miss Saren, he was an awesome antagonist. I respected him as a character, which made what Sovereign turned him into all the more disheartening.
At 18:30. Damn it Mordin!!
6:30 it's like freshman and senior comparison
7:45 dat laugh
Man Wrex is seriously the best character in ME
You missed out his appearance fighting Kai Leng on the Citadel (Thane has to die in ME2)
nope, he can be saved. major kirrahe is the key here ;)
Never knew I could save him in the first game, if I ever do another play through I have to save him
I made that mistake in my first playthrough too
We have an unauthorised...landing
Awesome editing!
Kirrahe!! Three miles up three miles down!!.
Oh wait wrong Kirrahe.
Hope everything is going well for you
i'd go back and make a paragon which i've saved him, but me1 is too boring to want to play thru again.
timlamiam Ooh, lies.
johnafirth IKR? I am balancing mass effect and XCOM and since I start with ME1 I realized playing the engineer is basically my tactical wet dream on the battlefield! then I play XCOM to fine tune my tactics a little more (and ultimately lose an ovary or two!) gee that almost makes me sound like a tomboy!
Y'know, I still don’t get why we couldn’t save Saren's cure.
I need somebody to give me a believable explanation of how Kirrahe survives if you don't decide to go rescue the squadmate at the AA tower.
he said that they try to hold out as long as they can and then run as they try to outrun the blast radius. That's how they could've survived
Ivan Vassiljevitsch But the team member's squad get's pinned at the AA tower. Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
you have a point. the blast radius must have been quite big to blow up the whole facility. maybe they could've escaped in one of those makos or maybe there was some kind of bunker. I think i remember him saying that they were pinned down by that AA Gun and couldn't leave the planet because of that. However it was later disabled as the Normandy was able to fly out into space. That's how they could've escaped the blast radius so quickly.
Play as Kaidan as your Loss at Virmire then play the DLC Citadel Combat Area and see how many Kaidans you spot. The other team-mate survives the mission if you arm them well enough and keeps an eye on you from the distance, just in case you get indoctrinated... ;) There's like a 100 Kaidans on the hallways around the combat area.
ToFinishFirst "We'll try to outrun the blast" "With all due respect, sir, we're not Sonic."
I had Ashley go with the Salarians and chose to save Kaidan and the bomb, yet I somehow had the Salarians on my ship after I escaped... You can hear over the comms during that mission (if you go back to the bomb) and it sounds like Ashley gets fatally wounded or something, so I'm guessing perhaps the Normandy saved the forward teams and that Ashley died covering them perhaps?
Of course you cannot recover whoever is at the bomb if you do decide to go up to the AA tower because they have to guard the bomb... and in this video, it shows Kaidan still down there making sure the Geth don't disarm it. So that's probably why.
I need to start using "cloaca" as an insult more often.
