I've said before Ryan and Damo it's a choice you've made and I think it's great I've always said money doesn't buy happiness being present I think does and I think otitis will benefit from this decision I think he be happier to have you around more and so too I think you and Damo will be happier for it many congrats love light from me x
Wow you struck gold with your wife mate. Don't worry, follow your heart back home. Work hard, live long and prosper in beautiful nature like our ancestors did for hundreds of thousands of years. There is nothing more satisfying physically, mentally or spiritually. I wish you and your family all the luck in the world. 🙏💛
After my late wife died in her early fifties, i took my pension early at 54 years of age. I have never missed work. I have less money, but no more 11 hour shifts starting at 1, 2 or 3 in the morning. No more stress. Go for it, you will enjoy it.
Nice...live in the sticks 50 km from nearest town luv it. The kids will be 500% better people...living in the slow cooker instead of the pressure cooker.
I chose to bail from my previous career due to covid and the lockdown. I’m 53 now and retired, best decision ever. I’ve re engaged with my family and my relationships are better than ever. I could have stayed and made more money, but I’m not poor (certainly not rich!) and time is my most valuable commodity.
I think that’s a good decision for you guys! I lived in Bali for many years a long time ago, but I find that I cannot go back anymore because it’s changed so much and whatever I loved about Bali is pretty much gone. I’ve just returned to Singapore 8 months ago after living in Malaysia for 7 years, I think that’s the worst decision of my life! In Malaysia, I had access to small organic farms, individuals who try make a difference, neighbors who would drop off avocados, bananas etc from their garden harvests or bring you a bowl of soup just because. In the 8 months back in the city, I feel claustrophobic and stressed by the people here. I want that simplicity and ease. I want the sun on my back and dirt in my nails, like what I enjoyed in Malaysia. I wish I had some land like you guys in Thailand, that would be a dream for me! I completely understand how Damo feels and I think you got to do what your gut tells ya! 😊
This experience was not a mistake. It was exactly what you guys needed to confirm your path in life. It sounds like to me you have confirmation that your life is meant to be on the farm together as a family. Thank you fopr making these videos and sharing your life and life decisions with us.
Well done Ryan, far better to be happy in life than chasing the money. One good thing to have come out of Covid is that you re-evaluate what is important in life. I have just resigned from a 40 year career in waste management, I'm not sure what the future holds but it will be of MY making Look forward to the new videos from the farm. Best wishes to you, Damo, Otis and the extended family
Always terrific to see you 2 happy together. Keep your love languages to each other alive daily and never take each other for granted. There are five love languages: Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch. Each one is important and expresses love in its own way. Learning your partner's and your own primary love language will help create a stronger bond in your relationship.
Congratulations you two!! You got the best life ahead of you. Especially when Otis's little brother is coming. Stay healthy, stay happy Ryan & Mo. You got a five stars living in Buriram.
Yay at last we can all go back to the farm, which is why we all watch you both and your family. I think it’s an escape for a lot of people and a dream for many of us. Hope you plan on maybe some daily filming to show the inevitable progress you are going to make, both physically and mentally. Great decision 💗🇹🇭🙏
I've never been to Bali or Thailand, but have been to Philippines many times. Now my filipina wife and I live in my home state of Florida, but as a 67 year old, I'm ready for a quieter life somewhere in the country, and who knows, possibly back in the Philippines someday. You both are young and I commend you for having the insight already that it took me so long to realize... that a quiet, simple life is actually richer in many ways than living in the city. In my opinion, Otis is far better off on the farm too. As for home schooling, I'm 100% with you and wish my daughter would pull her kids put of public school, especially here in the US. Looking forward to seeing you back home on the farm!
The vulnerability of transparency requires courage and you both have that in spades. You are totally right in your decision. It is all about freedom. Of heart , spirit and soul. " Full of white light " .....like a bird song 🎵 👌 🙏🙏
Love to see how the two of you are on the same page , a match made in heaven , what ever happens I believe your journey will bring you happiness ❤️❤️❤️
You have made the best choice Ryan and Damo, the farm feeds your soul and I am so happy for you. You are both so positive and inspiring and I wish you all the very best for the future, exciting times ahead. ❤❤❤
Rather than calling it a mistake see it as a short intermezzo which strengthened your beliefs in what you really want in life; a life in rural Thailand on the farm. I’ll be honest with you, normally when I see a notification about a new video I wanted to watch it right away. With the Bali videos, not so much because it isn’t Thailand! Can’t wait for new videos from the Buriram bamboo farm 🙏🏻👍🏻
Great you guys, major desicions are hard to make it final, and follow through with them. You both look releaved that you are going to do this. Keep us posted on your life journey.
Well done to you both on your decision to go back to your farm and family. Home is where your heart is and it is so obvious that is your destiny. Ryan, you have a wonderful wife and family and being on the farm working and planning projects, you are providing and protecting your family, health and mental wellness so you can continue to be a great husband, dad and human being to them and yourself. Good luck to you both and your family and I will continue to follow your adventures.
Actually just started to watch your vlogs, cuz my husband and i started building something in indonesia (im dutch, husband from sulawesi) so i was looking for some inspiration. Your kitchen, little cottage, the new tiny house and garden are amazing! So yeah, you'd better go back, your place is so lovely. If our place in sulawesi is done we definitely move (living in the Netherlands now). Only wondering, Are you self-sustaining enough? What will you do to generate some income? We're building 2 bungalows on our property to rent out. So excited!
Hi thanks for joining our little journey, looking forward to going back, we have a number of small projects we planning to show case on the channel - will keep you in the loop and all the best with your project 🙏🙏😊🙏🙏
Wish you all the best Ryan, I have the same dilemma with kids and always questioning my move to Thailand, but I know when I break it down I made the right decision. ❤
You are young guys, do what you think is right for you and your family. Experience counts, you can’t make good decisions without it. Your kids will be happy as long as they are with you.
Awesome Ryan, sometimes you just got to jump and trust in the universe will provide. I am sure you made the right decision. You and your family will prosper on the farm. Find your happiness. Alway look forward to your video. Love joseph Cambell's the hero journey. Good luck!
Rayen, Demo and nong Otis , Keep doing what you doing, love watching ,had kind the same process after 13 years in Thailand 🇹🇭 I arrived in Italy 🇮🇹 and I miss Thailand a lot but I'm happy here lots love and good vibe for the family ❤️ 😊 💕
I can hear your uncertainty in your new direction. Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be a digital decision. For now, you can go one way but in the future, you can adjust again, and vice versa. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you and your family the very best.
I did the long hours and the 9 to 5 for 48 years ( I am the generation of that was the done thing ) now 69 and now paying the price physically for those ridiculously long hours . So do what makes you both happy and enjoy your simple life wishing good luck with your future plans
You mentioned Joseph Campbell when I was a teen I watched his interviews with Bill Moyers and it has influenced my attitudes towards life ever since. One of his famous sayings was "follow your bliss" .
I understand your rationale exactly. I'm glad you two are having your clear vision and act on it early on. I am working toward my own simple life in the Thai country soon. Best of luck to you both.
I live in Michigan, U.S. I married a Thai in Sai Mueang Mai. She will come to U.S., but in 9 yrs I retire and cannot wait to become rice farmer and become one with the land. Thank you two for spirit filling content
Bum guns could have their own channel. I have much respect for your decision and wish your family the best. I'm looking forward to more content from the farm/home/freedom.
Thanks for always sharing so open and honestly guys . I was lucky enough to be at home with my son for the first five years of he’s life and since then work/money have always taken a back seat over the importants of time ! Best of luck with your journey you truly come across as beautiful souls ✌🏼❤️
You go for it Ryan and for your family happiness is the key to life mate work will always be there if you ever need it all the best on your next adventure Michael nice vlog 😊
My dear Damo and Ryan, congratulations, you have made a wonderful decision. It is so obvious to those of us who love you and watch your vlogs that you are so happy on the farm. Happiness and fulfilment are more important than money or status. God bless you both and protect you as you journey back home and resume your life on the farm. 🙏😃❤️
It’s nice that you and Damo share the same values. Unfortunately we live in a world that encourages consumerism and thinks of success in terms of money, education and career. Being connected to the natural world and the people around you is what life is really about....things that we cannot buy...and the value of which is worth more than money.
Good for you both. I always look at the Thai people and see the poorest always seem to be the happiest. Watch out for the zombies with bum guns though they are lethal 😳
Good for you guys. In my opinion it’s not what you have but what you do with your life. Happiness is key and if the farm is your happiness then by all means do it. The way the world is right now, simplicity and happiness is rare. Take care
Small accomplishments mean alot .I think more than big accomplishments. I grew up on a farm...I loved it .the early morning hours is where it all begins.
Follow your heart . If you feel excited to be on the farm. Then you made the right decision. I know Financial decision are not east .I say go with it. Don't worry about anything else. You will have what you need.
So glad for you. It takes courage to choose your own true path, not other people's El Camino. Yes, thriving in a village requires creativity and effort to live on the edge. Many say they want this life but fears draw them back. Few of us can sustain a spiritual vision and stay on the path. But i think because you are surrounded and supported by a conscious community you may have a chance. Besides, your lifestyle encourages and inspires the rest of us. 🥰
People can comment on what they think you should do … but, it is your choice and what makes you and Damo happy and it is a stress free happy life on your farm.. I love watching you guys and Otis and your next adventure on raising pot belly pigs sounds like fun… good luck and take care.. can’t wait to see you back on your farm.
You can’t go wrong when you follow the instinct of your soul to find happiness. Always stay true to yourself. Every experience in this life is a lesson learned. Each to his own in what they pursuit for fulfillment. Prayers and blessings for your family. Take care and happy travels home where it seems your heart is. ❤🙏🦋🌺🤗☮
I am so happy for all of you. I look forward to watching your success. My family and I love your family and channel. We live outside Pattaya. Please open Bed and Breakfast so we can visit.
Nowhere else is like home. You both have worked hard for family and it's truly haven on earth 😊 Why would you want to be anywhere else!? Just a tad envious here 😊... 🙏
You 2 are just amazing, so sweet to see how much you love each other in the videos. It’s just a feel good video. No matter where you travel your roots will always be a big part of your story and I love it. Chapter 2 of your farm will be very exciting I’m sure 🥳
The best decision you could of made Ryan. Life is to short and you should enjoy it together without the stress. Farm life can be hard work with problems with crops and animals yet your able to enjoy the freedom and working together. A great environment to bring kids up in natural nature surroundings educating them on living of the land. Wishing you well on this journey in life I'm sure all will be just fine. As for your videos the farm content will be a big bonus and amazing to follow.
❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Fantastic that you can embrace your values & happiness! Look forward to seeing your progress on your bamboo cottage. Much love❤& light✨to you all! 💞💋💞💋💞💋Namaste!
Oh NICE.!.. A talk show.. been waiting for this.. That's the most fantastic decision you guys made... It only feels like a bad decision at first... Love you guys...looking forward to more "decisions".. :) 🙂😊
I am happy that you and your family are following your heart, indeed a simple life but a happy one. I too took the same path 20 yrs ago, left the corporate world, moved to Brunei (up a hill surrounded by jungle)..I dont miss anything of life in a big city. I live on a meagre pension and I run Petstaycation Brunei which is boarding for dogs and cats. Animals I love the most which was what draws me to love your lifestyle in Thailand. Love to you and family and the animals xx
You go for it guys, I think you should go to what makes you really happy and by what you’re saying, the farm is your little Eden. Go home guys, go to happy 🥰🥰🥰

Each to his own in what they pursuit for fulfillment. Prayers and blessings for your family. Take care and happy travels home where it seems your heart is. ❤🙏🦋🌺🤗☮
Thank you Teresa, thats it!
❤️❤️ love this, great reminder for us all that life is what we make and we have more control than we oftentimes think.
Thank you Chris - hope you guys are all well 🙏🙏🙏
P.S. While you two were building..we too were renovating
I am so happy for all of you. I look forward to watching your success. My family and I love your family and channel. We live outside Pattaya. Please open Bed and Breakfast so we can visit.
We are thinking about it 🙏😊
4.5 years left and I’m seriously considering heading to Thailand, mostly to use it as a home base to travel around East Asia.
Good idea 🙏😁
Be happy wherever you are. I am grateful you share your life the good and the difficult. I love watching your simple life on the farm.❤
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Nowhere else is like home. You both have worked hard for family and it's truly haven on earth 😊 Why would you want to be anywhere else!? Just a tad envious here 😊... 🙏
Thank you 🙏😁
You 2 are just amazing, so sweet to see how much you love each other in the videos. It’s just a feel good video. No matter where you travel your roots will always be a big part of your story and I love it. Chapter 2 of your farm will be very exciting I’m sure 🥳
Thank you Chris 🙏
The best decision you could of made Ryan. Life is to short and you should enjoy it together without the stress.
Farm life can be hard work with problems with crops and animals yet your able to enjoy the freedom and working together. A great environment to bring kids up in natural nature surroundings educating them on living of the land. Wishing you well on this journey in life I'm sure all will be just fine.
As for your videos the farm content will be a big bonus and amazing to follow.
Thank you Mike, we think so too :)

Thank you Donnie 🙏😁
I am glad you both made this decision. I was waiting for it and I am glad it wasn’t too long. All the best🙏☺️
Thank you so much 😀
I am happy that you and your family are following your heart, indeed a simple life but a happy one.
Thank you and big love to you 🙏❤️
Keep going mate beautiful 😍
Thank you 🙏😁
You go for it guys, I think you should go to what makes you really happy and by what you’re saying, the farm is your little Eden. Go home guys, go to happy 🥰🥰🥰
That's the plan! Thanks Mani
