  • Grab a cuppa and join me for a little walk down memory lane. As I pack up my home, I uncovered a bin filled with old knitwear and I wanted to take a few moments to share some of them with you. As always, do let me know what you’re working on while you watch today’s episode.

Wow, I don’t remember my five year anniversary with my husband. This year will be 25 years married and 29 years together. Thank you for an important reminder to appreciate the years. I think you will cherish these videos.

That was fun! You made some gorgeous sweaters ten plus years ago!

If you don’t post before then (and take care of yourself - don’t ☺️) have a hitch-free and utterly boring move! Thanks for sharing this with us… lots of fun.

    Fun trip down memory lane!!
I’m sitting here working on a bottom up, seamed cable cardigan knitted in Dark Navy Shepherd’s Wool. 😂

How 2011 Mia of you! 🤣
But truly, Sherperd’s Wool is magical for cables. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out! ❤️

I have totally fallen in love with the cabled cardy in Shepherd's wool.. so beautiful. I'm totally up for purchasing if no one wants it (tho why wouldn't they?) It's really interesting how our tastes in garments, wool & colour changes over time 🙌

Be sure to follow me on Instagram and keep an eye out for the destash announcement! I'll probably work through logistics sometime next week when I'm off work.

Thanks so much for going through your past knits, love hearing all the information on these! I think why I never made sweaters when I was first knitting was that I just really didn’t like seaming sweaters; I tried a couple baby sweaters first and those were pieced (front, back, sleeves). And, bottom up sweaters ended up too short on me too many times.

I will still stand behind the overall construction just because the garments hold up so much better, but definitely scary for new knitters that maybe don’t have as much experience or people to look over their shoulder for help. I hope you’ve since made a few sweaters for yourself! 😊

Hi! Question for you! Sometimes my stitches get super scrunched when making sweaters. I use 40” cords and find that I can’t finish the yoke of a sweater because of the “scrunchedness” of the stitches. Do you ever have this problem? It’s happening specifically with Peer Gynt. P.s. love the aesthetic and calmness of your videos! I always watch them when I just want to knit with a friend :)

Thank you, I'm honored to be your knitting friend! As for your question about cord length, I use interchangeable needles so once the stitches get too bunched up on my cords, I will switch to a longer one. I have cords up to 60" although I rarely need to go above 47".

@@KnitandGrace thanks so much! Just ordered some larger ones! I just simply didn’t know they made them
