I still have my copy of the same movie, with no damage at all. I will never put it in my VCR, because my mom told me to. And speaking of this movie. "Pinocchio" was the first Disney animated film I saw in a theater since I was still a baby, and I was 3 month old when this movie was re-released in 1978 along with an animated short "The Small One", one of Disney's holiday films since this short was new. That brings back to my childhood, and sorry that you already broke my childhood's film. And I see your VCR which was not made by Funai, it was Panasonic, and it's an Omnivision VCR/DVD combo. Panasonic made good VCR's which is better than Funai. Funai made terrible VCR's like Magnavox (aka Crapnavox), Emerson, RCA (one of the very first brand to manufactured VCR's since 1977 when it was "Selectavision"), and Philips. And let's not forget JVC.
Mine never broke. And it was my childhood's movie, and I remember my first memory was being at a theater to see "Pinocchio" when I was 3 months old back in December 1978 where it playing at the time along with "The Small One" as a new animated short back then.
