The first prime coat is just the test to see if the surface is completely clean and ready for the repaint. Just a bit of cleanup and your ready to get on with the rest of the painting. Thumbs up your looking real good there Scott. Cheers OLDDUDE

Not that is a fancy coffee gizmo . I had some of those problems to trying to reply. Comes and goes at time. Primer coat looks good but did you figure out what caused the reaction on the roof? Good luck on finding your toes.

Reaction looked like the solvent in what you were spraying penetrated a coating under your primer or the primer itself. I've had that happen when a panel has several layers of old 1k paint and you really wet it up with new paint. Or the coating you sprayed over wasn't cured. Just my .02

But as a guy grown up with the metric system it has been a challenge to learn the imperial system. All these fractions... Is it the other way around with you?

Hi Geoff I have a couple of masks, one is a JSP force 8 and one is a JSP tradesman, both have changeable filters, Screwfix do them if you have one close, yes the primer is Lechler Green Ti, primer/sealer/filler, the top coat I'm not so sure, it's mixed in house at the paint shop, I'll take a look, they are both 2 pack paint, cheers Scott
