Puri - Incredible Korean Traditional Music group

In recent years, the South Korean government has been sponsoring a new wave of traditional music artists to perform around the world. It wasn't always like this however. In the early 90s, a group called Puri were pioneers in playing new concoctions of Korean traditional music. Known primarily as a percussion group, they also played other instruments such as the reed instrument, the piri, and experimented playing paint pots, African instruments, adding electronics and other avant-garde aspects to their performance. Some of today's young artists cite them as an influence. This is rare footage that samples the experience of a Puri live performance.

I have some footage of that concert in Shibuya too. I think they still play live but not as active as before.

I'd seen them live in Shibuya, Tokyo. Their performance were strong, full of life and memorable.Have they stopped touring?
