Day Drinking with Ewan McGregor
Seth would be ruined.
I have a feeling in this one instance they'd have to wheelchair Seth out of the bar.
I think Ewan McGregor actually quit drinking around two decades ago due to struggles with alcoholism.
@@martinzhang5676 😬
@@martinzhang5676 i think you are right, but the idea of it is still amusing as hell.
He's been my ONLY celebrity crush since Moulin Rouge. He's still got it 😉
Ho boy, does he ever..., 🤤
Him and Carey Elwes are mine. Ironically Mary Elizabeth Winstead is my husbands 😂
@@meg771 not ironic at all. Lol.
I fell in loooooove with him in Moulin Rouge! He murdered that role!
He really does. He’s so unexpected and just magnetic
He's such a charismatic actor, they could just show more of "Gentleman in Moscow", and that would be fine with me.
How does he never age!
Movie magic Mushrooming
Seth getting a tattoo with Dua Lipa and then a perm with Ewan McGregor would be absolutely phenomenal!
Just missing getting your ears pierced with Obama and we will have the objectively weirdest lineup of guest specials ever committed to late night.
Apple picking with Mr. T? I think that was pretty weird. Classic Conan!
a gentlemen of moscow a new miniseries
Ewan McGregor is a trendsetter. First bringing back the mullet in Star Wars and now the perm.
Trendsetter AND trainspotter!
I really need Ewan McGregor to do more Musicals, his voice is heavenly and I just cannot get enough of it even 23 years later.
Love Ewan McGregor!!!
Great actor, super handsome, and amazing sense of humor. The whole package! ❤
What a great laugh. Ewan’s joy is infectious!
What a pleasant fellow. I like this Ewan guy.
The GOAT. The King. The legend himself. Proud stan of this generous man and his performances!
I love Ewan so much 😭
So fun seeing him back on!
Careful, Seth... he has the higher ground.
My mom gave me a perm when I was 5.. 48 years later and I'm sill pissed off 😂
0:58 that smile 🤩
love love swoon love
good grief, I love anyting Ewan is in. He’s just the dreamiest. ❤❤❤ Le Swoon ❤❤❤
Big perm!😂
words cannot convey how much I adore these two. Especially seeing them crack each other up!
Love Ewan. Watch anything of his.
He is just the best.
He’s famous because he’s the one guy in Scotland that can say, “purple burglar alarm”
Well, he has lost quite a bit of his Scottish accent.
@@sacredcow87 meh, I'm Scottish and I've met him, I think he turns his accent down for Americans. When I spoke to him he may as well have been speaking Ghàidhlig
@@cleverusername9369 as a Scot who lives in England, toning down my accent is a way of life…though one that becomes difficult to maintain as soon as I’m north of the border, really annoyed or have found myself imbibing the water of life…or one of its cousins.
@@lynnejamieson2063 spare a thought, I live in North Carolina and everyone is always "omg are you iRiSh?" or "what's a haggis?" or "I've seen Braveheart!"
I love Americans but they don't seem to know much about Scotland 😆
I do know what you mean though, my accent gets way more broad when I'm mad or after some uisge-beatha.
@@cleverusername9369 it seems that we are forever doomed to both explain our heritage and to expend an excessive amount of brain power on being understood if we venture past the borders of our homeland.
Oh and I’ve frequently been asked if I’m from either Northern Ireland or the Republic, I’ve even been asked if I’m Welsh, Australian or Geordie…all by English people.
I really enjoyed this interview ❤
Has it really been this long since "Trainspotting"...we love you and your work, Ewan
I got a perm in high school too. My hair had always just laid flat on my head except for my two cowlicks. I loved it. I'm totally down with Ewan's plan.
➡️ You missed the best parts of his bio - ‘Long Way Around’ and ‘Long Way Down’ !!! 🏍️ Freaking amazing travel documentaries ❤
Love Ewan, great actor and guy.
5:05 in . Ya live once, why not try everything,. Ewan has a point.
Great author, great novel. I hope the series lives up to it
He can play extremely different kinds of roles and always be brilliant. He can sing, he can fight with a lightsaber, he can do heroin.
Sang and played guitar in long way round ......Flower of Scotland😢😢😢😢😢
Nobody is better than Ewan McGregor
There is just something about a Scotsman - I just love them! Douglas Henshall is another. And of course, the late great Sean Connery…
The novel is so incredible, I hope Evan does him justice
OMG I adore Ewan so much. One of the sexiest men alive.
We love ewan mcgregor
Can't wait for Gentlemen in Moscow. Ewan McGregor rocks! He was good as Obi-Wan, among the twin bros in Fargo. He was also good in Halston among other roles.
I love him in that nature documentary...
The one where gets nekkid or...?
Probably go very the head of Americans but Ewan with that perm and tash is the spitting image of Harry Enfield's Scouser character.
Calm down
YESSSSS!!! 😂😂
This ought to be more longer!
Renton 🥰🥰🥰
It is an amazing book, just loved it.
Jackal here - Seth watches TH-cam with the rest of us. I think the #ad reference went straight over your guest’s head
gorgeous fellow
We love your show seth meyers
I know what he means.
I had straight straight hair all my life and liked it. Dealing with it was easy. But after some medication now I have curls and I never knew what a different world it is. I'm enjoying it immensely. I love it. I hope it stays and if it doesn't I'm bringing it back chemically. 😄
He's right. Try it.
I had hair so straight in my youth, that when I got a perm it didn’t take. Then suddenly after turning forty my hair developed soft wavy curls. Durning the lockdowns because he couldn’t get a haircut, we discovered that the same had happened to my Dad too…though we can only be sure that he developed these soft curls at some point since the 80’s, as his hair had been to short to tell between then and 2020.
@@lynnejamieson2063 😀
Yeah, it happens with age too. Fun.
But mine since it's not natural is not all the same. In the back still I have a patch of straight hair that like my old hair does not accept any form no matter what appliance you use. Under that bit it's extremely curly like old phone cords. The rest is bigger curls. 😁 But I still like their flawed form.
@@IAmFJ1 I've heard that about chemo, that people with straight hair now find it curly, and vice versa (I've always had think, curly, but sadly frizzy hair)
@@LindaC616Yep. That's the drug but I used it in low dose as a immunosuppressant for a couple of couple of years and it was fine-ish. Last year when it started to have weird side effects like this my doctor changed the medication. So there's no chance of it changing back because of that now.
You could use perm to change the form of your curls I think to have bigger curl/waves.
Now it really sounds like I'm selling perm. 😄
I was hoping that he brought a photo of himself with rollers in his hair 😂
Got to say I really enjoyed the introduction music while he was walking up on stage, really nice tasty music! Kudos to the band!
The puuuurrm! That’s adorable!
4:08 Ewan does a great job of inspiring interest in the movie here, for me. Now I'm curious to know what peoples were exiled!
sith colors! and love his boots 😊
Top bloke.
Lipstick on your collar is one of the best TV shows of the 90's. Written by Dennis Potter and a musical full of 50's and early 60's pop songs and bebop songs. Bloody brilliant
… also since my hair has always been super straight, I always thought a perm would be fun. I’m all for this! lol
lol please please no no no! 😂😂😂
Love his "Afro" (perm)!
That’s fucking obi-wan kenobi
EM is the best.
Yes, please perm
My longest running celebrity crush.
This would have been a fun episode to have had all the guests out at the same time, Graham Norton style.
When he waved to the crowd I thought he was using the force
I didn't believe they were cousins at first, but now that I see them right across from each other, I see the resemblance.
"perm on Obi-Wan..." 🤘🏻♥️ #towit
❤
My father is a MacGregor (family name changed back from McGregor during N. American immigration) from the Fargo area, I grew up with him having a perm for most of my childhood so I think I can wholeheartedly approve this 😂
adding another layer to this, his character in Fargo has a perm too.
@@skateandgeekout oh right! Layers on layers 😂
So Scottish: “Just DO it”
"our friend"
😍
A perm?
Nah, Fam. These curls are 100% genetic.
CHOOSE LIFE
I'm sure A Gentleman In Moscow is very good, both the book and series. But it's too bad no one ever updated the movie (1942) or made a series based on Ayn Rand's first book, "We, The Living," which has a very similar basis to the plot as it is about how the upper class survived in Russia post-revolution. Because it includes several families, each in a different class, it would make a good series, too.
Seth should get a perm 😆
didnt he have a perm in fargo ?
for that one he was wearing wigs since he was playing both brothers that season. the one brother has a receding hair line with long, thinning hair, while the other brother has curly hair.
Perm
Meyers,perm, Monday morning.
Spoiler Alert!
He looks so different I didn't recognize him. Too many actors, too much face filler.
It's nice to see Ewan is still able to get work after that Obi Wan series.
6:42 freudian slip
Why don’t you like your kids?
The perm is ugly and unsophisticated. Bad idea.

I didn’t know that he was married to Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Good for him! Good for her!
Second marriage. Think he may have cheated on the first wife (IIRC)
@@LindaC616sure did, I stopped liking him after reading about that whole story. His kids with first wife weren’t too happy with him either .
@@dogsratsfishcats I looked it up after posting that to make certain I was remembering things correctly and saw that a couple of years ago, they all spent Christmas together, so things must be easing up. Diminished in my eyes as well
