    Your son is correct. What a wonderful series, Frieda. Your storytelling abilities are evident as you guide us through these holiday celebrations. Other than Passover-and my depth of knowledge was very superficial-I didn’t know the meaning or significance of the other holidays. I can see how documenting this world is a labor of love for you. I’ve said it before and will say it again, I hope your channel continues to grow.

    I was only in Williamsburg once, around 1987-1988; I went there to put up flyers advocating for the release of Jonathan Pollard; as I was taping a flyer to a telephone pole, a Satmar man asked me who Jonathan Pollard was; then he explained to me that no one else in the community would be interested in this issue because :
    1 - the flyer was in English instead of Yiddish
    2 - I was wearing blue jeans and nobody would be interested in an issue being publicized by an obvious outsider to their community
    When I was done putting up the flyers I got a bagel and coffee in a Satmar restaurant and I saw all the baby strollers left outside unattended with the babies in them - I thought this was very unsafe but they did this in Crown Heights also where I was living at the time
    Thank you for these great videos and for bringing back memories of my visit to Williamsburg many years ago
    Happy Chanukah 🕎 !

There is a small Hasidic enclave nearby and on occasion some of the residents will walk past my house and we greet each other. I enjoy the diversity of this city! If I may come with a request I think it would be very interesting to learn what the Hassidic jews think about us non-jews. I assume they all know what Rambam has written and they believe in it? • @lukelucky1446
      @lukelucky1446 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know if you missed my question or if you don't want to respond. What I've read orthodox jews think we goyim are beasts and our only purpose is to serve jews. Would you say this is true or not? I read the book "Ok amen" by Nina Solomin where she describes how little orthodox children plays with a doll and smashes its head to the ground while shouting "goy! goy!" Is the resentment towards non-jews a big problem in the orthodox community?
