      @@alphaecka1949 Did you not watch the entire video where they explained at the end WHY JA was disqualified. It's a Track & Field rule in the 4x4 that you have to remain in the position that your teammate is in once they hit the 200m mark. This is regardless if they advance or pass into a better position. Since this is indoor track, the official needs to be there early to make sure they are correctly lined up because it appears as if they are waiting longer since it's a full lap in advance. JA was in third place with 200 to go. After JA was put in 3rd spot in the zone, she moved from that spot and was correctly Dq'd. That is her fault. The Ukrainian even tried to move her back but she caught an attitude. This doesn't happen all the time but it still does happen where a relay team will be disqualified because if this. Australia was DQ'd at the Commonwealth Games this same year because of the same rule. It also happened to GB in Rio. Also Don't try to come for the US. The video replay CLEARLY shows her NOT stepping on the inside. So don't get salty because JA runner was inexperienced. It was obvious that she didn't care to listen or pay attention. They very CLEARLY explain to you before you go out onto the track the changeover rules for the incoming runner. This isn't anything new. This rule has been in place for years.

    Those rules need to be changed, 200 meters out is a long way and many position change takes place, it should be 100m out. The Ukraine athlete at 200 meters out, was in second place, but by about 150 meters she was in 5th place. There was no need for the receiving athlete to be in second place at the line-up to take the batton. Bunch of bull shit. If It was the US team they would protest this.

    Ine ga lie but this shows favoritism at its finest because everyone knows ( whether u run track or not) you are supposed to move in the spot which you are receiving the baton so therefore the Jamaican girl was correct and the other girl should’ve stepped back ( especially when all the Jamaican girl did was step in the front of her and the girl from Great Britain pushed her so therefore both should of been disqualified not just Jamaica; and even if the Jamaican was in the wrong they still received the baton at the same time so no matter which way you look at it the Jamaican team still cut they ass. And personal if we’re not supposed to move when receiving the baton ( like the Jamaican girl did) why the hell do they teach us too?.

    • @kennethcoleman1378
      @kennethcoleman1378 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Official did NOT cheat. JA was in third place when they passed the 200 mark and the rule is that you have to stay in the position that your incoming runner was when they pass the 200. The official clearly placed her where she should have been and she didn't want to listen. This has always been a rule. GB AND Australia for example have been unfortunate victims of this rule as well in 2016 and 2018. Also JA has no one else to blame but themselves. At these global meets they assume everyone is new to global championships so they explain everything before you leave the paddock and go onto the track.
