    Quarries look extremely impressive. Bardon quarry is best viewed from the top of Bardon Hill if you want to visit. Very cool thing to see however the new hole has destroyed the local landscape. The site used to be lovely open fields with loads of birds of prey. It used to be amazing sitting at that spot, you could watch them hunting for hours. Now it's fucked.

    • @trevorcraig8392
      @trevorcraig8392 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry Joanne if my response was a bit snarky, having re read it thats how I came across. Its not in the quarries interest to ‘overfill’ trucks, it’s actually illegal to be overloaded, the planning consent will have a clause compelling the quarry to ensure that all loads are sheeted when leaving the quarry, this is normally under the ‘in the interests of amenity ‘ section and is intended to prevent airborne dust. If you’re coming across either issue routinely then contact both the quarrying company and your local authority planning enforcement officer it’s important to have evidence to support your allegation such as dashcam or mobile phone footage together with date,time and critically registration numbers of the offending vehicles. Overloaded trucks with unsecure loads are a police matter but they cant act without evidence.
