- After this golden retriever had a litter of puppies, the mama was so excited about it that she immediately wanted to show them off to the veterinarian staff.
And every time they walked by, she would gently hold up one of the puppies like this, proudly wagging her tail, super excited to show off her new babies, making for a heartwarming moment from a proud mama ❤️

Agreed Kate. Only thing we can do is save as many of them as we can and do our part to rescue/ take care of. I'm working on opening a non profit sanctuary for unwanted/ mistreated pets and eventually, I want to extend that to fostering and adopting children. Our foster care system is as corrupt as out government.
I think everyone deserves animals, obviously not the people that treat them like shit but animal companions make you more happier and more caring.Theres a prison in the USA that gives inmates cats as a companion, after they realized they could get a cat everyone did, way less violence way more caring and better rehabilitation rates were reported by the prison with this new program. These were people that killed people and worse but still just the addition of a animal companion made even killers more empathetic towards others. We all deserve animals as long as we show them the same love they show us

This is just too adorable, animals feel things just like people do, it’s overwhelming when you think that they have all of the “feels” yet can’t express verbally. Imagine having a sick or injured child and not being able to ask for help. All you can do is approach a human and do everything you can to get their attention, and pull them in the right direction. One of the most heartbreaking moments I can think of is when someone abandons a pet, they are so confused, hurt, lost, wondering why, it’s really pitiful that someone would do this to a thinking, feeling being. I can’t wait until I can afford to adopt another dog and cat. I guarantee I’ll come out of there crying because of all the animals I will have to leave behind.😢
no they do not. Some male animals will kill the male & the previous males offspring so it can mate with the female. Also animals do not feel pain the same way. A croc can gets its leg ripped off in a feeding frenzy & not even care.
Humans, especially humans of color, go through that all the time and vocal or not they still get ignored by people who couldnt care less...
I heard of a mama cat somewhere in the Middle East who took her sick kitten to a hospital. I think they took them to a vet after they got them stabilized.

No shes trying to move them to a safer location. The loud echoing cries are stressing her out in that glass box. I raise Goldens for a living. I deliver pups all the time. They like a quote safe dark/dem place to have their pups. Where they can relax and not be stressed out. Stress will cause mama to move her babies

Spoiler alert: they probably won’t be living with their babies. If the dog is already owned, the puppies usually get to live with the mama’s owner for a couple weeks, then are usually sold off or adopted.

My little Jack Russell jumped up on my sofa one day, gave a few grunts and out popped a puppy! Just one. I didn't even know she was pregnant! A few months before, I was feeling sad because she was getting old (she was eight) and in three or four years, would not be with me anymore. She was a broodie, so had a lot of pups in her life, but I did love her, and was sad that she had apparently gone through "doggy menopause" without me having a pup to replace her. Then she randomly came on heat and began playing with her favourite boy dog. I told her to cut it out, but apparently, she didn't listen to me! When she gave birth, the pup looked just like her and was a little girl, so not only will I have a companion to replace her when she passes on, her genetics will carry on as well!

I had a golden that used to carefully carry around one of our cats. The cat loved him and didnt mind a bit and would cuddle with him when he set it down.

Golden retrievers are bred to pick things up gently and actually have a soft mouth for this. But generally all animals pick up their young gently in some way

She probably will. I don't know how big the litter was, but I don't know how many people would be able to look after the whole litter and the mum. Hopefully they're separated at the right time, I believe it's recommended to keep them together for 12 weeks.

I couldn’t breed my baby bc of this or clip her tails or ears. She’s such a good girl I couldn’t actively decide to hurt her that way😢. But now I gotta get her a puppy to help me raise so she can be a mama

my horse did something similar, grabbed me and pulled me to the stall door to meet her foal. When I got in the stall and the foal came to me she looked happy. They truly want to share special moments

My cat was very proud when she gave birth it was adorable.
Mine too. I called her mama and I never saw her so proud and happy. I kept one. She looked for her other kittens for days after. I felt so bad, but I couldn't keep all five of the kittens. We had them for three months so that they would be more socialized before being adopted. I kept one, my niece adopted one and the other three were adopted through a program with a Vet.

Awww, this is so sweet. Dogs are the best. I just lost my 2, 16 year old dogs. I had them since they were 7 weeks and they were litter mates. I've been devastated. One passed Feb 20th, the other March 5th. They passed away 2 weeks apart, to the day. I miss them so much. My heart is 💔.
I rescued my momma kitty from a REALLY rough life when she was pregnant and the way she brought me her kittens absolutely warmed my heart. Every day over and iver she would grab them one at a time from their nest and bring them to me. I ended up keeping one if them just to findout their dad was a mainecoon and he is MASSIVE.

My former neighbors had a cat who gave birth in a bush at the house behind ours (facing our backyard). My sister and I adored her and her kittens. One day, we heard tiny meows outside of our house, and we found her bringing her babies to our front porch. When she had her second litter, we set up a nice space in our garage for her to give birth and raise her babies. We got to witness the kittens be born, one of which was a beautiful snowshoe. That kitten became our first family cat, and she's now 13 years old 💗

No. She has rejected the baby and is in full blown panic desperately trying to get the humans to remove the screaming baby. Incredibly common in nature. Not all animals want to be mothers at all times. That rapid breathing is panic and a growing annoyance. In nature they just wlak away from the liter/puppy and let it starve but in captivity they wont stand the screams that long and will eat the baby. Cats just bite the heads off, and push it off to the side dogs however wont waste any meat. Watching this is the equivalent of watching a mother in full blown psychosis with screaming "take this" with a knife to the babies head right after giving birth... and you are all just watching with smiles. Narnia.

This reminded me of when my dogs had pups…they were such proud, excited FANTASTIC parents! I was really surprised how much more involved my male (papa) was with the pups, it was so sweet, and mama would get so happy when visitors would come, she’d run up to them and spin in circles, to get their attention, then promptly lead them to her pups, her eyes saying “look what I made!!!” 😩❤️

It's amazing how gentle those dogs are, I had a Golden setter as a kid and he weighed 110 pounds but wasn't fat just larger than normal...Me and him played football and he would go long for a pass catching the ball with finesse....he lived 23 years and was a hunter, protector and my best friend....❤

I love the Goldens! We fostered a female Golden a few years ago, and it was so obvious that she needed to be a service dog, so we reached out to Golden Endings and they gave her the very best life possible. We love you, Ellie ❤❤❤

This is a dog trying to reject the baby. She either dosnt like the sound of babies (common in all species) or cant bond with it. In nature they simply walk away and leave it to starve, but when caged they do this to try desperately to get the human to remove the baby as its causing emotional stress. That baby definitely got eaten right after or removed. They almost never wait it out for it to starve. Way too long for the distressing sounds. That rapid breathing is absolute panic. This is disastrous.
