You have to dig a thousand bottles not worth much of anything besides historical value before you come across one worth in the thousands. Still a wonderful way to learn about the history of what our ancestors ate & drank though....
I have the very first Gatorade bottle from 1968. I've did alot of research and I can't find another one like it so for all I know I might have the only first model Gatorade bottle ever.
@@jawnjacob7573 because on the bottom of glass it has the number 68 on the base of the glass. I got a Gatorade history book and it said that Gatorade was released to the public in the summer of 1968
I got bitten by the bottle bug in the early 80s when visiting a friend, he had an old medicine on his shelf. I new what it was and commented on it. He told me his dad who had been a logger in the early part of the last century told him where an old camp was. So we decided to go check it out, and we found it. the buildings were all collapsed, but the corduroy skid road was still intact running for miles through the woods. We found lots of bottles and artifacts, and went on to research the best places to dig. Getting to old to dig anymore, but I got a real nice collection, with a few that are rare and valuable.
Jim Troiano I see them usually for 75, they aren’t worth that as they’re very common. Now some are worth a ton of money but those are the aqua ones or ones that differ from the normal Warner’s safe cures. There’s also a Warner’s Safe Remedies bottle that I dug up that’s a little more rare than the older cures.
Yeah. We buy, sell, and trade old bottles. Some of them are worth tens of thousands but most of our money is made selling lots or completed sets or ALOT of the cheaper bottles.
Some Warners bottles can worth thousands but they have to be a really rare example. Like a Teal green one. But yes youre right the one in the video is a common one. Worth 35 max.
