Germany from 1924 was using Reichsmarks. And after WW2 both Western and Eastern sides continued to use Reichsmarks. After West began withdrawing reichsmarks and changing them with Deustch marks - Soviets did the same. It was a response, like many other cases. US carried out a secret operation "bird dog", as they were sneaking in new currency into western Germany, introducing it to the market. It began somewhere in april on 1948. In june 21 1948 it was official, they started to switching to new currency. Union reacted to such action by introducing it's own currency in june 23 So no, it wasnt "Soviets tried to take western half of Berlin". If it wanted - it wouldve taken it. As Europe showed itself incapable of dealing with wars, so nothing could've stopped USSR just steamrolling and conquering entire Europe. I think you are missing the main reason( for most of things that happen in this show)...he doesn't know that he owns the company/SG use it for getting money to fund their operations. He thinks it's gamma who owns the company,who made that company with all the things he told her about. Him misunderstanding things is the main shtick of the show,I'm very surprised you haven't noticed that yet

@@abin93 basically, he thinks of shadow garden as a giant role play, and not a real organization. so if you think about it, shadow, who leads the organization does own mitsugoshi. but as the company is a front for shadow garden, the public know "luna" aka gamma as the owner. and it's probably written that way in legal documents too. so from cid's perspective, the company mitsugoshi is the only thing that's real, and he's half right in believing that he doesn't own the company. again it's still just his misunderstanding of things, but he's not completely mistaken in his reasoning.
