The silvery-grey thing in the engine bay is the electric motor. If i remember correctly, the engines gave power to the motor, that would then power the drive sprockets, enabling it to move, which makes it a hybrid, like the ToG II.
Every day is a school day, well it is for me! I should’ve known that, as it’s a hybrid. 😂🤣💀
Ooooo its Ferdinand, great kit
Yeah it’s certainly a beauty! They do a great job capturing the shape
With all the design classes of tanks in wars you’d think the industrial military complex would design better caterpillar treads
They end up looking so good, when you do them! I had all sorts of issues with the sloping sides when building the jagdtiger. Having the same problems with the jagdpanther. Other than that thoroughly enjoying the builds. The monster tiger arrived a couple of days ago, slightly worried as the age range says 14+ and I struggle with the 9+, so steep learning curve. It would be great to see 1:12 Panther, T34 and KV1. The tracks on Cobi tanks are great when I compare them to the Trumpeter 1:16 models. All the best to everyone.
Hey thanks, honestly it takes me so long to get it right, I often spend 2-3 hours building a bag….and even then I get it wrong. It’s a complex build! Take your time, and enjoy it!
@@CabbageFace_ Agree the sloping side take ages. worst one i found was hetzer as so tiny and no space for big hands.
Big Tiger easy just a giant cobi kit. except box 1 bag 3 suspension and box 4 turret ring. Me and cabbage had so many problems with turret ring. Most sloped sided tanks a pain. but hetzer was a the worst as so tiny and big hands could not fit inside it.
@@shaunholmes9900 I added a jgpz 38t mit schw inf gesch 10. 5 to the collection whilst I was at it
@@shaunholmes9900 I better had avoid the Hetzer then, I would hate to resort to a hammer. Thanks for the info, guys.
Did you get the shitty tracks like brickmeet
No I didn’t sir
Cabbage does you tracks unclip and fall apart. Still got fix mine with spare tracks i got from cobi.
No they are all good, but i think they are the old style as they are black not dark grey!
@@CabbageFace_ New ones are black and thinner. yours are new ones. problem with the new ones is that they may be a little thin on bars and they just unclip( it a fault on one or two). Both ferdie and strum tiger l/e had them catching unclipping when moving or turning. just got to be assed to sit there and replace the tracks on ferdie. strum tiger was easy as only one track was unclipping.
@@shaunholmes9900 hmmm I had no issues, interesting - I’ll test them on my tiger winter version
@@CabbageFace_ dunno if they fixed it by now. was a major problem on ferdie l/e and guess they sort of figured out what problem was. as only strum tiger had 1 track link that was faulty. hopefully they will have fully sorted for winter tiger.
Confirm I've had no issues. We are at Tiger Day next. Probably the full Tiger variants diorama. It'll be the first time I've transported the Ferdy and the Elefant, so I'll find out if anything fails.
The quality issues with the tracks is annoying
Mine seemed ok. But not Limited edition
@@CabbageFace_ mine is. Fall apart after driving it for a few cm
Not the biggest issue for a display model but would still be nice to not have the problem
@@CantDraw131 waaaah
@@CantDraw131 that is bad
