An Ember in the Ashes is one of my favorite series too! I just finished Night of the Raven, Dawn of the Dove and LOVED it! There are definitely some hard-hitting scenes in it, as heart-wrenching as those scenes of the third trial in the Ember series, and it's so immersive. Can't wait to hear if you liked it!
