Your channel is rare and interesting… The way, you got about, detaining of books…and the very plot..with the very basis of characters, is marvellous!!!!
The best book I read this year was 'The Vault Secret' by young Indian author Byju Subhash. It's a suspense thriller about the mysterious vault of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple. Incredibly well-written and absolutely captivating.
independance has been on my physical tbr for a year now and remnants of a separation have me hooked for a long time because of its cover. might as well pick at least any one soon!
I so agree with you on the Jamini POV is so annoying and made me so angry in the book Independence...I also thought ending was out of some movie and was too fast to end... Will read rest of two books
I read Train To Pakistan and Independence. Started The shadow Lines but could not complete it. But I have read a bunch of Bengali books on this very topic. This topic is so disturbing .
It is so disturbing and heartbreaking. Which is why I really liked Remnants of a Separation, because there are many charming and heartwarming bits in that book.

Right?! She was the most unlikable character in the whole book. Though the mom (Bina) was also annoying hahaha
