The idea that nothing would ever replace it, and that it was over and could not be repeated, actually took time to internalize and come to terms with.

Please don't forget Bethesda and Rockstar North too. Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 & 4 had great DLCs. Same goes for GTA IV and RDR. But yeah, the quality of Witcher 3's DLCs is absolutely astonishing.

I would say it is the closest I have played, I wish fallout would quit the mainstream shit and go more mature and dark with the apocalyptic theme. NV did that really well but fallout 4 was a step back in terms of mature matter and gritty themes.

Im a bit late to this party, started witcher two weeks ago, already almost 90 hrs in game time...just finished HOS and started Blood & Wine... that feeling man...I never imagined that a game would me make me feel so immersed! I don't want to finish it, and move on to other, far less good games, carrying on this emptiness that the witcher will leave in few days.

The song is "Blessed with a Curse" by Bring Me The Horizon. While I do love the song, it doesn't fit the dark fantasy theme you get in The Witcher.

This is a track from their third album if I recall correctly. The one after that (Sempiternal) changed the sound to an even more post-rock influenced one and the newest one (That's The Spirit) is straight up pop in a lot of places. This is a band that is not afraid to tinker with their sound in dramatic ways.
It IS a bad choice for this game, but at least its not Kanye "im a god" West ;)
DoubleM-K Gaming That one I felt was pretty fitting. An industrial track about the story of a modern man getting abducted by a megacorp specialized in finding memories in genes feels pretty cyberpunk to me.

In CDPR's recent settling over their dispute with Sapkowski they came to an agreement where they would keep the rights to make more witcher games so BaW wont be the end, maybe just for Geralt's journey but not for the witcher.
SerNoddicusTheGallant if they aren’t doing Geralt the only thing I personally want is a customizable Witcher with different backgrounds like how they’re doing cyberpunk or similar to mass effect, we all play the same character but get options to personalize him, maybe also let you pick what school you were taken into and offer trees for specific schools, would be dope imo

You forget witcher 3 also had a buggy launch but not as bad as cyberpunk but cyberpunk is more deep than witcher 3.

I haven't finished the game yet(no spoilers please) but I'm just wondering if I were to try to complete every single quest,activity, contract and basically all the content in the game including both DLC's, how long do you think that will take me. This is including the stories/main campaigns to.
Depends. Let's say you were to start a ng+ after finishing your first run... In that case I would say it could take at least 120 hours (since you'd be op against most enemies and you would skip some cutscenes or dialogues). But if this is your first run and you're really going for a perfect completionist run already, it could take a lot more (maybe around a 150 hours). I'm going to start my fourth and "final" file sooner or later. I already did everything (contracts, random encounters, side and main quests) but playing since the beginning with all grand master's armors and swords should look cool as hell. Also B&W added mutations and raised the level cap to 100. It should be fun to turn Geralt into an unstoppable death machine.
