Not a good idea to eat carbs all three times, for health sake. Good amount of vegetables and protein is essential.

Wonderful video. this kind of cusine simly proves that India is the most civilized,humane and compassionate country. No other country comes even a close 2nd. It is beyond amazing that a certain group of people put their focus in developing the most delicious cusiine without causing any harm to cuisine. This is our heritage and let us respect and adopt it in our everyday life. The fact that 80 and 90 yrs old people are eating this food everday is a proof that this food is very healthy and good for the planet. Let us support our small scare vegetable vendors and farrmers by eating vegetairan. Every state in India has a developed a wonderful vegettarian cuisine of their own is proof that Indian culture is the best and the most humane in the world.

A2 b serves in plastic plate
Darn expensive too..no middle class or poor can easily afford not even once in a fortnight
A2B has a brand value taste is not that good and price is doubly expensive.There are many other canteens run by all communities which cater to different tastes Many villagers who come to towns with modest capital become crorepathi because of their food having taste and quality.
Never, ever go to A2B, for food or tiffin, cheating to the core, expensive and rude behaviour, especially in Chennai. One day it will become like saravana bhavan loosing all it's glory and customers.
I love South Indian veg food immensely. I simply love, Anywhere, any time, it is my favourite. Simply looking at the serving of food brings water in my mouth

For anyone asking why it's called Iyengar mess: Either it is run by Iyengar or the recipes are followed by majority Iyengar families and developed by them. Every community has it's own cuisine. Snack preparation methods etc. A lot of Brahmin cooks are well known for their chef skills. Iyer home cooking and recipes also differ. It's not simply vegetarian. Every community has it's own flavors and textures and ratios. Please don't show hatred for the name. There are lots of mess run by various communities and the food there reflect their community recipes. As such it's not just "Vegetarian recipes". There are a million ways to prepare them, and every community have their own methods. If you think it's not that way, please go to various mess of various communities. You can taste every mess has a diff recipe, traditionally followed by their grandmas. If not, why is there so many differences for one recipe? Vegetarian cooking many ppl like Brahmin recipes or Brahmin run hotels because majority Brahmins are vegetarians even today. Hence veg cooking is quite nice. Non veg usually certain communities in certain states are more well versed in it due to their traditions and cultures. When it comes to fish, Bengalis are considered the best. And that too communities that have been involved in fishing for generations. Many became cooks from those communities and spread the recipes for fish.

Iyer, Iyengar lot of different between the both of them. தமிழ் பேச்சு மொழி, நாமம் ஐயங்கார். பெருமாள். ஐயர். பல வகைகள். மொழி. தமிழ், தெலுங்கு என்று பல உட்பிரிவுகள் உள்ளுக்குள். பிராமின் பிராமணன் என்பது பொதுவாக அழைப்பது. கோவில் குருக்கள் அது தனிவகை. மந்திரம் ஓதுவோர் ஒரு பிரிவு. இப்படி பட்டியலிட்டு கொண்டே செல்லலாம் 😊😊😊

No sir, they do the morning pooja's, cook rice at home, around 9am-11am the locals complete their brunch - it's been practiced for a generations, they take 2 meals a day - these people prepares everything for office going and senior citizens (deliver at home too...) RK catering is highly service oriented, not money minded people - i know them very well that's why saying it

In Bangalore Iyengar Bakeries are popular and they are not propagating their caste.

Unlimited, it leads to obesity. Eat well, dont go unlimited. Dont diet too much to limit intake you may feel still hungry. So life works when everything is in balance, reasonable serving of food with reasonable price.
