"What is the law to the devil" Well, considering that devils always get depicted as contracts being their thing and always making deals, laws sure are a big deal to them.
Yeah but often in those stories, like quite literally every one of them the Devil is always playing tricks. The faustian sell your soul for whatever is never what you expect or want and it's usually a deadly subversion. Same thing with Djinn in stories. Ironically the only time I saw a true contract between demon and recipient that was obligated was on the TV show Supernatural, it was a prime focal point throughout the entire show that a deal is a deal and there are no backouts or tricks between either party. "This isn't Wall Street, this is Hell. We have a little something called integrity."
Fun fact, one of the best scenes done with the character, two cops tell Punisher they look up to him... Punisher is revolted, and tell them to look up to Captain America instead. For all of Punisher's talk, he KNOWS he's not what any person should be.
Essentially yeah. Everyone complains about Batman’s code and says how it doesn’t work. Then usually those same people complain about Punisher which is weird to me. Punisher is a hero only in technicality. He’s not an Anti Hero either, he’s the rare Anti-Villain. He travels from place to place taking out criminals, dirty cops and corrupt government officials. His first appearance was fighting Spider-Man because he believed to lies from the Paper only stopping when he realized they were lies. He’ll kill even heroes if he thinks they’ll stop him. The End Justify the Means is his only code. He doesn’t believe he’s the good guy, but he believes he’s necessary. If the time ever came where he finally got rid of every criminal, he has one bullet left for himself

Great dub! Weird Frank gets taken out so easily here however. What he lacks in powers he's supposed to make up in tactics, seems like tying Matt up to an old gurney being the first and last line of defense for a street level hero known for his CQC expertise is kinda dumb.

This is so good, what is it with Frank and trying to change Daredevil specifically is something I always wondered, this spelled it out for me, he sees the potential Frank really has lost it though because he seems so obsessive about this

@@whiteeye3453 Yeah, throwing the club is harder. Daredevil ricochets that shit off of walls and around corners and has it come back to him like Captain America with his shield. With a gun you just gotta point straight and shoot, especially at close range like this.
These conversations shouldn't happen. I hate when "tough guys" talk trash about Batman, Superman or Daredevil. They don't want comics and superheroes; they want Commando.
god that whole no killing thing annoys me in superheroes. How is crippling a guy and putting him into jail when 9/10 times he will come out and commit crime again better than just ending it? A criminal may have people who love him, but how many people loved the ones that he murdered, raped, beat up, robbed? so stupid
So basically they redid the original moment with the netflix show aesthetics. Proving again why Marcel went to the toilet Also, This is out of character for both of them
This is such a terrible take on the Punisher. It’s an otherwise great run of Daredevil, but I hate anytime Chip brings in Frank, because you can tell, he’s never actually read any of his books, only watched the Netflix shows. Which, again, are terrible adaptations of the character. Great performances, though!
@@SpiderGuy325 I mean, yeah, it’s just that, you know, those interpretations aren’t great renditions of the actual character, you know? The Netflix adaptations are to Punisher what Man of Steel is to Superman. Lol
@@EmperorGuyver parts of it! There are great things about all three of the film adaptations. None of them are perfect. If you mashed them all together, you could have the perfect adaptation. Lol
@@valiantshadowproductions Very true, it's the same with Batman or Joker. We always get peices but they're never fully committed to giving us the full character in a film. War Zone is the 2nd closest in terms of accuracy in aesthetic, tone and character, with 2004 being the furthest. 1989 has the only fault of making Frank a cop, but is probably THE most accurate take on Frank. A broken soulless man with nothing left and no longer gives a shit about anything but the mission. But Netflix Frank is basically Year One, at least in DD anyway, season 1 had elements of Year One but made it more realistic and I don't fault them for season 2 because they had no choice but to write it the way they did because they knew Netflix was cancelling all the shows.
@@HenrySchultzVA I think the delivery was a bit John Bernthal for sure. I Imagine the punisher being more disconnected and dry with his dialogue he’s not a man of words he’s a man of action. I feel like even in his monologue to daredevil it wouldn’t be as if he’s trying to convince by conveying emotions but convince by stating cold hard facts and letting daredevil process them however he likes emotionally or not.
Punisher is right, about everything. He's one of Marvel's only actual heroes. Most of the rest are larping egomaniacs that get off on their lil cat and mouse high horse. DD is right about one thing, he'll never be Frank... he's too weak to ever be Frank.
Lol he is not a hero. He’s a lunatic who craves killing. Punisher has acknowledged before he knows his efforts are in vain. The level of violence in the streets never stops, nor any other form of suffering. In the Max run he sold his family’s lives to an unknown malevolent force that promised him a war he could fight forever, which he got. The other heroes all help much more than Punisher does. Punisher strings some cartel guy up by his nuts? Cap just took down a whole terrorist cell holding an entire country hostage. Punisher shoots a mob boss in the face and kills his bodyguards? Hulk stops an asteroid from destroying the planet, then goes on to punch some giant monsters to death. Punisher takes out an entire crime family? Spider-Man stops yet another plot that would’ve killed all of NYC. List goes on and on. Punisher has also acknowledged more than once that nobody else should do what he does. He doesn’t want any of that heroes or anyone else running amok and killing criminals left and right. That’s for him and him alone (likely partly due to some belief that it’s HIS war or some other psychological issue).

Daredevil is such a wuss compared to Frank,DD is legit New Yorks most useless superhero
Nice conversation
Too bad daredevil became pretencious like always
Plus since when he is master gunman?
That some bs
He’s a master at projectiles, particularly with his billy clubs. Using a gun is child’s play compared to trying to ricochet those things around perfectly like he does.
@@blechb5317 not really throwing bat isn't same as firing bullet
@@whiteeye3453 Yeah, throwing the club is harder. Daredevil ricochets that shit off of walls and around corners and has it come back to him like Captain America with his shield. With a gun you just gotta point straight and shoot, especially at close range like this.
@@blechb5317 exept it ricochets bullet is harder and more dangerous
@@whiteeye3453 Not when you have superhuman senses like Daredevil does.
A criminal may have people who love him, but how many people loved the ones that he murdered, raped, beat up, robbed? so stupid
DD being stupid and wrong, tale as old as time.
How many times is this scene going to play out, DD tied down while he and Frank philosophise on the ethics of killing scum.
So basically they redid the original moment with the netflix show aesthetics.
Proving again why Marcel went to the toilet
Also, This is out of character for both of them
This is such a terrible take on the Punisher. It’s an otherwise great run of Daredevil, but I hate anytime Chip brings in Frank, because you can tell, he’s never actually read any of his books, only watched the Netflix shows. Which, again, are terrible adaptations of the character.
Great performances, though!
Bet you like the 2004 film lol
@@SpiderGuy325 My comment was for the op
More cringe marvel writing.
The Fuck You Say?! 🤨
Punishers lines are far to animated honestly I feel like it doesn’t even match his expressions in the art panels.
Like my delivery or the dialogue itself? I don't feel like I went too crazy tbh 😂
@atrios6123 Well, like you said I was definitely going for more of a Jon Bernthal take on it (:
