Nicely done. I wanted to use silicon bronze but the out lay at the time seemed too much. I had to buy rods and either get new hoses for the oxy set I'd been given or buy argon for the tig set.... I went with mma rods and stick welded it, then when I realised I needed to make up a new band I had to go buy argon anyway... it really did feel like one of those days. The drill looks great, like new
Your not kidding a basket case, you have done a superb job with the brazing repairs. I can tell you it will be a joy to use after your Chinese import drill. I have two Meddings drills in my woodworking shop ones the same as yours a MF4 and the other is a MF2. Your drill looks fantastic, almost new. Tony

Thanks tony. It is nice and smooth and nice to have an 80rpm spindle speed. Despite the abuse it has not got much wear
