If your parting from your trucks your gonna need one of those awesome looking Irish grain trailers to make her look smart, No import duties on Kanes, Herons redrocks etc
Glad the tm is proving a gd puller . Those tm fords were quite often opened up quite substantially . I mind a fridnd got a new 190 and at the time in the late 90s that was a big tractor . I still mind the farm manager saying it was too big and the boss shoulda bought a 165 but it proved itself a gd tractor and they had it until the farmer died and the farn was sold all the tractors and equipment were sold at a farm sale . They got a gd price for it . As it was well cared for . Hope shes a gd tractor for you and ur dad on the farm lovin ur vids all the best nick .
The TM165 pulls like a dream and sounds sweet to. The TM and trailer go well to gather and no doubt that the TM will beat Wills JD hands down when the big pull off comes. Interesting video Nick
What u need to match it is a 24ft Stewart flatbed, proper heavy built trailer and in perfect colour to, we’ve a few bits of kit from them both about 16 years old, best trailers we’ve ever had. Built heavier than Bailey trailers, which are also fine bits of kit but I would always go with a Stewart. TMs a great tractor, it’ll be well fit for 16 ton of grain as long as she’s got weights on. Sold our 140 2 years ago, best tractor to come into the yard. Great video nick👍
Great video Nick, Smart TM, we run 3 ourselves, couldn't help but notice your link arms set at 99% with the trailer on, this can cause issues with stretched drop arms for your pick up hitch and potential hydraulic issues as they constant pump at 99% would advice lowering to 88% ish once hitched up.
Nice tractor not had enything to do with the tm range a friend of mine who I work for now had the old Ford 7810 then went for a Ford 8340sle wow seemed space age both fantastic tractors he then moved to John deere before moving to case pumas what we have today but we do have a blue one in the fleet a t7 210 the controls in the tm remind me of the 40 series 👍
Great vid nick was just going over your older vids and enjoyed them all. I thought haters would hate but not on your channel! I know that N. H will pull that trailer I think they are awesome! No 1
Hi Nick wanna be careful towing that much weight on a telehandler. They feel like they're pulling alright but the load sensors on the back axle will soon start having issues (could be what caused your dads moment in the summer!). It puts all the wrong forces on them and they are not cheap to replace. Plus they always break just when you need the machine.... Keep it up mate
Those engines can push crazy power so you can always tweak her at some time especially for the challeneg hell seen a TM125 putting out over 200hp probably why she was pulling better than the mxm190 til the pump was changed on it
Hello. Great video there. Iv fond memorys of going out on demos with tms thought the world of the with cab suspension and all. Farm services now Ravenhill. Always pushing to show off the best of what the tractors can give. One of those are on my big wish list to go alongside my 8730 powershift 😂🙄
Lovely looking example Nick. If that was here in Ireland it would be pulling much heavier and longer trailers 😂👍👌 it would probably be on a 24ft tri-axle grain trailer
Hey mate as always nice vids. Quick question. Why have you gone with a 8270r because the top spec 7rs will do seeding easy.Do u do more jobs with the 8r? Just wondering thanks
More expensive, but you could look into getting a hooklift trailer. That way you can decide what you need on the back based on what you're moving. Like i said, more expensive but also a lot more versatile.
Nice to see the new girl out, I know my mate says his 155 pulls well so wouldn’t expect anything less from yours 😁. Think he gets mid 40k out of his?!?
Out of interest, are you allowed to transport anything other than your own crops in the UK? We all do stuff like this but if the rules are similar to here (belgium) you'd technically had to be running on regular truck fuel for these jobs.
It’s a good idea using a grain trailer. No ratchet straps
It can’t move anyway
nice setup indeed, the NH can pull like a train!!
The 7. 5 litre engine is very nice
That looks like a smart outfit all blue, used to love the 7810 years ago, great video again thanks, stay safe 👍.
what a moring, stunning sunrise
Run quite a few tm's, 135 up to 190 and 1 of the best ford / new holland tractor's ever apart from my 7840 that was tricked up 👍😉🍻🚜🔧🇳🇿
Over the years there is not one bit of that cab that I havent had a hand in building, she was a beauty roll on The Basildon Blue Tractors
Newholland Tm 165 lovely tractor
Blue on blue, lovely sight.👍
I really appreciate keeping your content coming mate keeping us all entertained during lockdown top lad 👍
Great 👍 video nick T. M. Looking good 😌 stay safe 👍👍😌😌🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴👩🌾👩🌾🚜🚜
Good to see you stretching your lift rods already.....
Now that's a smart set up blue on blue!

Best of luck with her Nick. Takes me back to my young days drawing grass with a tm155 an 16 ton trailer an by god they could pull. Good video mate 🇮🇪
Green, Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow..,. we're all tractors under one God. ✌️ 👍 😷 ♥️ 🇺🇸.
She looks well love the same colour combination just looks the part keep safe and well nick
Had a tm 150 and 8560 here.
8560 which is similar to the 165 is geared slightly slower.
On 650s 42 k where's 150 does 44.
You drive very fast 😜
Watching this, I starting miss our TM165 that we sold. I learned everything on that, loved it so much. I hope you gonna love this too. :D
Good to hear , already loving it 😁

It looks well with the matching trailer. Some front weights will take some of the bounce out of it on the road.
Weights on order 🙂
Hi Nick nice bit of kit my TM with a 14 ton silage trailer full of wood chip pulles like a train Wil mid Wales
That tm is pulling well with no front weight 💪
It’s pulling like 13 ton on solid ground a would hope it’d pull well
Great combination...
The TM165 pulls like a dream and sounds sweet to. The TM and trailer go well to gather and no doubt that the TM will beat Wills JD hands down when the big pull off comes. Interesting video Nick
Thanks Wallace 👍
If you look at farmer Phil Amazon shop you can get Bluetooth think that connects the the radio

Thanks Daniel yes I’ve heard good things about them 👍
Hard to beat TM’s 💪. I have 140 & 155 which are great pullers 💪👍
Hey Nick, maybe one day could we have a tour of the elusive farm 2? top video as always 👍
Probably not.....that’s where all the top secret research and development takes place....and Nick’s dad keeps his Spitfire !
If only!! 😂
@@nicksmith7552 all of the genetically modified wheat seed 😂
a very useful machine, work gets done quickly..good job brother
That tractor looks to be in great condition. Amazing it's nearly 20 years old, doesn't look it.
Yeah she is, pleased with it 👍
is no one gonna mention the sky at the start, it do look sexy
Was a nice morning
Some monies worthy there in those bags, wow!
Awesome video, glad I found it, like the TM, I would like to see more of it and the JD-NH challenge

Thanks for the tip Luke 😁
Great video today. With the flatbed trailer you should have a look at a Marston flatbed they don’t seem to bad.

Brilliant video Nick, thank you! I knew she would pull well 👍
Thanks Alex 👍
@@NicksFarm no worries Nick! Also, did your tm come with the hitch connected to hydraulic spool valves to extend out sorry? Thanks
@@alex5983 yes it did 👍
@@NicksFarm perfect, thanks Nick. This summer I will look into connecting out hitch to spool valves. Thanks!
Keep up nick

Still get the odd few Liam but never mind , thanks for watching mate 👍👍
@@NicksFarm jealousy I think!
Fantastic 👍 pulls well just wish you could of opened door a little so we could hear her when pulling 😬maybe when your in field working please 👌
I’ll be sure to 👍

Hi Will, definitely better on a tractor rather than telehandler I agree 👍 thanks for watching mate
Was in no doubt she'd handle it. Can she her being a very useful tractor for you
New to the channel - first time watching. I've come on over from Farmer P!
Can't wait to see more content!
Thanks for watching 😁

Looks nice pulls well see how it works on grain carting in the summer. You will have to keep it away from your cousin
Another good video nick. You have a good setup there. Keep up the good work . How many acres do you have
Lovely looking example Nick.

I like teh way you roll sending the old girl on not like these guys that take two days to do a days work :)
Great tractor that nick.. really enjoyed the video. Hope your well mate 💪💪
Cheers Adam 👊
Buy a versatile Low Loader Nick.
Class vid

We got a Tm165 at home and it pulls like a train
Great machines 👍
Yes we got one with 200 powers
Taught ye had another loader taught it was at this farm 2
Its back at home farm at the moment, you’ll see it again soon 👍
Great looking tm. do you move 4metre implements around the roads on the back of the tractor?
Great video nick. Any spring crops? Good to see dad keeping all 4 wheels on the ground.
😂😂
You think getting out of that junction is bad Nick you want to try getting across the Red House crossroads !!!
Yes I know I try not to go that way too much!! 😂
Good video Nick! Tell you what that TM has a shine to it! 👍🏻
Cheers mate 👍
you need to straight pipe it would be a great vid
When you mention "pulling" I assumed you meant ground-engagement implements. Wheels on hard-surface paving is not a real test.
our tm 165 whil pul ah 18m3 veenhuis slurry tanker whole setup weigs ful about 40 tons id pulls it like there is nothing back there
Anoth great video 👍🏻
Keep it up
Where about is your farm
I’d pick her grain trailer every time over a flatbed for hauling fertiliser, no need to strap it no worry it’s going to fall off
How many acres do you farm and why did you have so many fords back in the day and why did you swap them all
Hi nick is that a new trailer or have I missed a video.
No we’ve had it a while, I probably used our green trailer when I last carted bags about, use this one at harvest time normally 👍
Very nice set up nick .have you still got rays truck hauling
Thanks Jimbo, yeah still got it 👍
Thought the trusty Sanderson lived at farm 2?
Most of the time but not today, you’ll see it again soon I’m sure 😉
I know it's a matter of taste but in my opinion Ford and NH have always made nice looking tractors, not all of them great in other ways though.
Shes a beauty!
She pulls like train
Nice to see the new girl out, I know my mate says his 155 pulls well so wouldn’t expect anything less from yours 😁. Think he gets mid 40k out of his?!?
Think I got 43 without trailer and 41 with so pretty close 💪
Not got Sanderson teleport
It was having a rest that day 😉
@@NicksFarm thanks for getting back to me do use range rover in work shop
i bet theres an abundance of second hand flatbeds out there farm 2 or area 51? lol
Lovely tractor what power is she?! Enjoyed the video again keep it up!
It's a tm 165 so it's 165hp
@@willtidy1138 our 165 is standert and has about 175 on the pto
@@jeffreyhollink985 that's strange as pto power is usually a bit less than rated power

Of course it will kick a John deer’s arse it’s a new Holland hah
Blue power all the way if she ain’t blue leave in the shed
Get some weight's put on her
does not need then ..........have a tl90 here and pull 9 tons of beet in a tandem axle trailer and it manages ok .and have no weights on it .......
Think he said he has some ordered👍
Yup on order , hopefully here soon 👍
