Hey guys, hope you enjoy today’s video 😁 I think the TM looks smart with the weights on, they just need a bit of paint to tidy them up! Bring on Spring when we can get back out in the fields! Have a good weekend everyone!
Here in Aberdeenshire we are completely snowed we have had to put cars at the end of the road as it is completely blocked! We have around a foot of snow and ground has been frozen for weeks!
I worked a contract job for a year in Alaska and had a tripled wool lined coat - there were many times that I had to unbutton that coat when I got way too hot even when it was -54 Fahrenheit ( -47 Celsius). Wool is great insulation...
We take all our John Deere weights on and off daily in the summer with the pallet tines on a pallet just come from the side line up and boom out simples it takes 2 mins!
There are a lot of good cheep grabs out there Nick. You don't need an expensive grab for all you are doing with it. Your TM looks great with the weights on her. That is the best way to get your wights on and off with the handler. Great video Nick
Hi Nick enjoyed the video, work for a hay n straw merchant in Essex and we run 3 Browns square bale squeezers and have done for years, also move endless amounts of rounds with them, great bit of kit and extremely well bit, worth a look, take care fella 😊
Great vid nick and Nice set of original weights for the tm looks great least you not got fleeced with the wool wow my jokes are bad too lol hope your all keeping safe
The TM is looking well now.Thought the weights would have been individual & u could put 1 on at a time but obviously not..lol.How would a man put them on if he had no way to lift the block all in one.?😆
Definitely a fan of that weights 🙄🤔😆. Bale squeeze is nice but even a twin spike would be better than a single it's all down to universal use for the user.. Good work on the video. Stay safe 🏴 👌 👍
Hi Nick, great video a week or so ago, doing some jobs with Dad. When are you going to bolt that vice to the work bench properly? I get stressed just watching you use it!!!!! P.S. Dad is an absolute legend..... a real gent.
@@NicksFarm Best you do so young man! Seriously though, I witnessed an accident 2 years ago involving an insecure (physical not emotional) vice. Not good. Loving your videos; the entire household looks forward to your updates. If they feature "Dad the legend" then everything stops to hear hear his wise words. Hope you and yours are staying safe and well... Steve
Using wool for insulation seems medieval 🤣 I guess it was probably common place before the advent of fiberglass??. Here in New Hampshire 🇺🇲. Saw an old 1800's farm house opened up for demolition. Outer wall boards removed revealed corn cobbs filling up wall voids.🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽. Spring coming soon I hope👍💉😷🇺🇲
Question from a non-farmer: what does the front weight do for a tractor, apart from make it look cool. How does carrying an extra ton of weight help? Oh, yeah, I agree with other commenters, blue paint needed now🙂
I thought that bale grab that your cousin was using was a good tool. But have you seen the Olly’s Farm video where he compares two different grabs? m.th-cam.com/video/a7XWCZxSXcg/w-d-xo.html

For a bale grab we’ve had a McHale for years and it’s still as good as the day it came 👍
Good to hear, I’ve asked local dealer for a quote on a mchale 👍
@@NicksFarm Trust me mate, you won't regret it. Have you enquired on the squeezer or the roll-type one with removable spike sleeves?
Mchale bale spike with the tine sleeves to move wrapped bales! So well made had ours years

Great video Nick we use a scaffolding pole to lift the weight into position
That's a great idea!
Cracking one again. Dad looked like an aging hippy with that fleece. Girls looked happy in the barn and warm HARR -HARR
Hi nick Putting wool between the galvanize and ply, the galvanize will sweat.
You need to put up a breathable mainbrain.
Good video, tractor look good , paint needed for weights

For a bale grab look at the Mchale roundbale handler, you can take the rollers of then you will have a twin bale spike

For the grab you should look at McHale’s ones. Their strong and last for years
Yes the mchale ones look good
I will 2nd that Strong 💪👍👍
Love that idea of insulating. I’ve never thought of that. Perfect for a garage etc.
Yeah it’s a great idea, puts it to good use 👍
@@NicksFarm I would consider doing this once I have work done outside in the future. Is it expensive per big bag like you had?
Great video nick, to me to you to me to you, left a bit, good to see dad , tractors looking good.
Defo Mchale by a long shot an hope you paint them the same colour as the axle/engine. Good vid again mate🇮🇪

She looks smart Nick..

Definitely!
Keep the video come . Been very busy last week in the tractor with snow in Leeds.
Yes lots up north, we’ve been quite lucky down here
Put flashing lights in the grill
The TM looks good
I put a bar through the weights then pick them up with the tines. Perfect angle for lifting
Yeah we wanted to do that but didn’t have a bar suitable 🤦♂️
@@NicksFarm scaffold bar does the job
Hey Nick, another hilarious video 😆 sheep 🐑 coat 🧥 oh and ask Justin on Hay Team TV about a clamp, they use them a lot 😉
looks good should of spray painted it black first though to match, looks alot better. great vid
Exactly what I though spray black would look ideal🤘👍
Cherry Products offer some great bale grabs.
Great video again Nick, TM looks great with the weights on, but maybe some paint required?,stay safe.
Definitely some paint, will do it soon 👍

It was too cold to paint them!! They’ll get a quick go over at some point 😁
A lick of paint on them weights, she’ll look smart then!

Speak to your jcb rep

Hi nick the TM looks the business ewe will feel the difference with that insulation Wil mid Wales
😂😂

Corn cobs! Hilarious 😂
Paint those weights Nick,
We will 👍
Bale grab... get Colin Furze to make you one. It won’t be conventional but it’ll work a treat and be mad no doubt! 🤪
The way that wool was folded and bag the wool would have docked a few more quid
Where is your Ram?
He’s with a couple wethers in a field near the house 👍
Are you going to give those weights a bit of blue paint?👍
Hmm either blue or black...
@@NicksFarm Just checked and most are indeed black, where is my pointy hat with a "D" on it? I'd have got that wrong in the pub quiz.👍
@@NicksFarm
Weights should be grey.
Can’t believe you didn’t spray them first😂😂
They’ll get a lick of paint at some point 👍
Checkout ollies farm nick he just got two different bale lifters to try out
Just a quick question about the sheep wool as insulation assuming there will condensation will the wool rot in time ?
was thinking the same ................
Such a shame that wool is such an undervalued an under priced commodity nowadays 🤔😟 good video 👍
Oh Nick, don't use the cup holders for your balls. Don't be that guy!
Regarding a grab, look up pro dig engineering. It is good stuff....
Thanks Robert I’ll take a look 👍
You have to get a cherry product spike they are far superior to anything on the market
That truck of your probs feels ignored
Mchale soft hands grab is the best
Thanks Julian, lots of people saying mchale 👍
Check out Cherry Products for a grab , good kit can't fault them

Counter-balances heavy implements hitched on the back.
Thanks Captain, makes sense now🙂
Beat me to it 👍
check out cherry products for grabs
