Honestly the new setup looks better than the old one. The lighting is quite a bit harsher in the old setup and the camera seems to add some sharpening artifacts on your skin that are a little unflattering. The camera give a slightly mushier resolution, but it’s actually kind of nice at this distance. Very impressed with what you’ve put together for $75!

I just ordered the studio lighting kit. I realized my videos from the kitchen table (think rebel sl2 preview) have a creepy black eye socket look because I just don't have lighting at my face. I aimed a floor lamp at my face for the channel reboot video :( and that was an improvement, so this would have to be even better. Thanks for giving cheap options! Keep it up.

Also I found those light bulbs that came with them wasnt providing enough light I swapped those out for 2 - 60w led bulbs from the dollar tree (so literally, $2.00 more) and it amped it up a ton. Plus my phones camera is better than either camera I already own, so for now that what I will use.

      Thanks so much!
I don’t remember the exact brand but you can find them all over amazon. It’s an 18 inch light. My only suggestion would be to get one with a light temperature gauge as I never know exactly how warm or cool my light it.

Yeah figuring out the direction of your channel can take some time (it took me 6 months) so I would just say start making videos and see what you like to do 😁👍

you absolutely right , great video , no need expensive gear to start with !!! but I have one question , a cheap tripod does that really work? I mean later on if you put a camera on , would be stable enough? because I experience some cheap tripod like the one I have for my ring light, is not safe and secure. :/

I liked the look of the cheaper studio.
I can almost hear your wife saying "You spent $1700.0000000000 for what?!?!?!?" Can you post a reaction video of the wife when she see this video?

Great vid foe the new starter on a budget....... I too have the Boys and found that it actually sounded better that the Rode Smart lav+ though its 3/4 time more expensive how ironic. its definitely best to shop and see what the sound and quality is like rather than how much it is.
