John, I love how simple you keep things. I do see the value already and I’m only 2 sessions in. Excited to see what you’ll show us in the remaining sessions.
Thanks for the guide, you are a life-saver. Seems obvious in hindsight but I switch my camera from JPEG + RAW to just RAW. Only time to use that setting I think should be for professional shoots where you want redundancy.
I came across your video classes and I am loving it? It is crystal clear and very refreshing even though I have the Nikon Z5 set already and I use it but I am refining it by watching your video. Great class indeed, thank you.
I just purchased a Z5 and really appreciate your work on this! I am new to cameras and am trying to setup my camera. Some of the camera settings are greyed out with a message "This option is not available at current settings or in the camera's current state". I have a VR lens with an adaptor attached. I can't find an answer as to what I am doing wrong. Id really appreciate some help. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
Chris, You're not doing any wrong, this is a common problem on modern cameras. Occasionally when one camera feature is set, it interferes with another and as a result that second feature is greyed out showing its unavailability. There are too many combinations of conflict for me to guess it here, but getting to know your camera and its features will help resolve the issue. I try to look at several of the grayed out items and see what they might have in common and what might conflict with it. If you were to watch the full class, I'm betting that you'd be able to figure it out, if not you're welcome to contact me directly to resolve the issue.

Great video class. I purchased a Z5 two years ago and it's been in the box since then. You will be teaching me how to use it. Thank you!
I am the same. I've used it a couple of times but have found it entirely too daunting.
Brilliant session, great explanation, fantastic slides 😀
