Elliot hacks the FBI in Season 2, Episode 5 - in this video OTW (Occupy the Web) explains how realistic the hack is. Can this actually be done in the real world? OTW tells us the answers.
OTW loves the Mr Robot TV Series as a lot of them are actually realistic - unlike a lot of other shows. This is our 4th video in the Mr Robot hacking series.

Thank you! Mr Robot is my all time favorite show I still watch! It's just one of those shows at the end of each one I caught myself exhaling! Pretty cool how that one part can be possibly duplicated! What a great interview between you and OTW! Both of you kept it seamless and I cant believe I was able to follow along! I look foward to more like that! That aside, I loved that smile of yours in reaction to what he said at 22:03mark! Priceless! 😆🕊⚘

Even for the recognition *brian hacks online* gets, his skills is so underrated at least by most tech fans in general. I mean I get that there is stamina and all that involved in things like he does but being able to stand so far away and have the ability get the information needed with high speed as expected to hit it perfectly with a paddle just over the net is extremely impressive.

I have very serious doubts about the first time I hired *brian hacks online* to help get electronic evidence. I am experienced in law enforcement, my family is a law enforcement family, and I have access to the Internet just like anybody else does. Conspiracy to cheat is a very serious deal beaker, and there's no way I could see any attorney that actually claims to be on your side saying it's inadmissible, or this is not something actionable.

Fun fact, GSM networks did not support mutual authentication between UEs and network. Once the uplink authentication is done, the AuC would simply dump all authentication vectors (RAND, CI, CK, SRES). Nobody anticipated that someone would actually set-up a rogue GSM network to intercept IMSI traffic. Now, it is just a relic of the past. From UMTS onwards, network needs mutual authentication, where network authenticates the UE, and UE authenticates the network. 5G has now insane level of NAS security.

With correct configuration it could act like a man in the middle attack by using the vendors wifi to connect with.

i liked the presentation with OTW and subject fresh and stimulating. With USB 3.0 over 2.0/1.1... There isn't any true loss of performance given the data transfer rate is significantly less and there isn't the conflict with block storage devices which are defined as default for USB 3.0... Whereas USB 1.1/2.0 could be anything HID, Serial or Bus Power.
The Full Duplex is cool but I consider additional capability but added complexity and latencies. Very cool that LimeSDR platform is used in development. I think it would be interesting to test and observe the threshholds involved between a femtocell and handset with regards to distance and time.

*Brian hacks Online* used his cyber services as a therapy session, taking us through a very chaotic mind and leaving us with a sense of peace and resolution at the end. He used this album as a way to document the breaking of generational curses that have kept his family toxic for so long while also giving the culture permission so that we can start breaking our own generational curses even if it means using him as the means to do so.

We need more info on protecting and exposing compromised devices/computers at an average consumer level. The average person is at extreme risk here. Many "experts" say a low-level target isn't worth the trouble for most hackers. But that statement isn't all that accurate and doesn't account for how an average person's devices can be leveraged - whether their personal info is valuable or not. A major focus on "getting in" with an equal amount of "keeping them out" seems like the right balance.

it’s worth noting: the signals a Stingray intercepts are (I believe) downgraded to 2G from 4 or 5G, making them much easier to decrypt and that’s why they can listen in/ catch all the SMS traffic will relative ease. It’s not that a stingray can decrypt 4-5G signals, it gives the phones down to 2G
