@@Zxian61 Backdraft happens due to the reintroduction of oxygen after the fire has already consumed the available oxygen. Closing doors increases the risks of backdrafts but of course there's a reason your supposed to check the door knob before opening a door. So while a closed door might seem more dangerous, it actually makes the rooms on the side without the fire safer by slowing the fire down as the fire has to first burn through the door before it can continue into the next room. With today's fires often burning hotter and being around very flammable material, a closed door can make a big difference. Firefighters can then ventilate the room through the top and contain the fire to a smaller area than if the door was open.

Wow!!! Good for him! I could hear the panic in his voice when his mom didn’t listen at first!!! He was persistent, he didn’t care that he was interrupting her! He knew what was important in that moment! Good job!
BRO I WAS DYING WHEN THE SISTER JUST DROVE OFF ON HER HOVER BOARD TOP LESS
He did amazing, if anyone who reads this please please please shut the door! Fire chases oxygen and what the door is open a flow path is created which spreads the fire to new fuel. There is a chance that most of this house could have been saved but I don't blame him at all! Little man did amazing!
100% Always when possible, shut every door leading to the fire!
won’t you then create a backdraft or whatever it’s called
Thank you for saying it!! I was sad to see his leave it open 😬
I hate when they don’t listen to you just simply because they’re talking on the phone
I remember one time my youngest brother sprayed the cat head to toe with lysol and mom popped off at me because I interrupted her phone call 🙄thankfully the cat survived cuz I hurried up and washed all that off of him... but I was annoyed at her attitude and how she didn't jack up her youngest child for blatant animal abuse

I’m glad the family is safe. But the little girl leaving on a hoverboard was comedy gold😂
Bruh, the little girl just decides to leave with her hoverboard. What a legend.
The fact that the girl probably had to go out the house in her underwear💀😭
Anyone else feel frustrated because the mom wasn’t paying attention to her son?
Yes definitely if my mom was on the phone and I was trying to get her attention she would not listen to me until she's done no matter what I'm screaming

This boy is a hero. His parents raised him well. He alert to his surrounding and quick in action !
Where were the parents? They should be charged with child endangerment frankly.
Thank god he did not trip or choke on some food during these few minutes.. real champ!

I don't think you have to be raised incredibly well to be able to alert people that your house is on fire.
