I've had the 8 Pro since launch and have not had any issues whatsoever. Really love this phone and I'm glad that the overheating issue is improved, although maybe with a hit on gaming performance but I don't game on my phone so idc.
For everything it is, the 8 Pro should've been priced at $800 max. It doesn't help that after overseas shipping, this device is just $100 less than a S23 Ultra that has better performance, faster charging and storage, more consistent software, and better integration with external workflows. Software tricks alone aren't worth a thousand bucks. And there's no reason to spend a thousand dollars if all people do on a phone is scroll content and browse the web.
Just get the phone from the carrier it's way cheaper. Here in Canada Rogers is given out the phone for financing at 27$ CAD a month so 648$CAD which is 473$ US or you can even lease it for just 10$ CAD / month so 240$ CAD or just 175$ US. it's dirt cheap. No iPhone 15 Is close to being this cheap or Samsung flagship

My only issue with mine is WiFi connection. I'm regularly having to restart my phone to connect. Especially if I'm somewhere I don't go everyday, like a local coffee shop or something. Something I've never had to do with any other phone.
@@turkishultranationalistI'm just saying. Chill. Jeez. I had an S21, that never had this issue. Nor did any of my phones waaay back to my HTC Desire (first smartphone I had). I don't think I declared it as a Pixel only issue, but certainly an issue with my Pixel.

Why would anyone choose this over a Samsung? As far as an android goes customisation is at its worst. Can’t mirror to tv without a chrome cast, can’t clip an image from a photo, the fingerprint sensor is a total joke for a 2nd year in a row and the battery life can’t compete with S23 Ultra.

I was thinking was this seriously made by google? It's their own OS and it's very messy. Don't even sstart me on the battery life. I'm coming from an LG V60 which even today after 3 years of use still can run about day and a half on a single charge. The phone gets hot. Specially if you're on 5G and watching a streaming video, it gets ho5 around the camera. Amazing cameras though. The Tensor SoC is still not polished to compte with Snapdragon or Apple silicone. I hope google will come strong big next year.
Most reviewers do not blame apple for slow charging. But they do blame Google. I want to understand why?
Apple users are in a cult.

Because it doesn't matter what Apple does. They will never be seriously criticized for anything.
A pixel video but have apple in your nightmare...the channel is call Android police. The often offended Android people.
I'd appreciate it if Pixel enthusiasts contributed to the ecosystem like Apple fans instead of focusing on minor issues.

Where can I find the wallpapers?
Some those might have been AI wallpapers the P8P can make on the device.

Honor Magic5 Pro also does secure Face Unlock and can be used in many apps.

I 💯 agree. This is not a $1,000 phone. It's one of the best Pixel devices but still they are not there yet.
But with the S23 you have to deal with their shitty UI.

Pixel still produce below par videography comparing other flagship. This is Tensor Exynos issues I suppose b
The negatives are too easy to be ignored! Well done @google.
Honestly no reason to "upgrade" a phone any earlier than 3 years now (minimum).
Maybe 2 years for non flagship phones?
