Thanks Trevor, nice hoodie, I need one of those to make me look younger! An old farmer friend of mine who passed-away some years ago used to say that the best tractor for towing a conventional seed-drill was one that you could get on and off easily, and in the days of 1cwt bags of seed, I can see his point!
Lol! A lady at the gas station id’d me for tobacco and was shocked to see my age. She said it mystve been the hoodie. Lol. Same hoodie. We only use bags of grass seed for the CRP. It all comes in bags for that.
Excellent video Trevor, tata. That 65 Kitty could probably pull another two of those box drills as they are fairly easy to pull. I like to see wide span machinery behind a tractor using most of the horses. Smooth drone moves like you are doing makes for good viewing.
Thank you John! Yeah, those things are pretty small for sure. I have video of them planting and fertilizing using a modified cultivator as well but it hasn't made it to the internet yet. Next one will be CASE quad tracks and Horsch no-till drills.
Spring wheat is sown in the spring and is harvested in the fall. Winter wheat is sown in the fall, lives through the winter, and is then harvested in the summer. Harder winter wheat usually contains a higher protein content than spring wheat and is suitable for making pasta and bread. Thanks to Google.
John has it. Usually we are planting spring crops to help control weeds in the wheat and also affix nitrogen into the soil with the lentils. Spring wheat is usually a tool used to clean up fields, it never performs as good as winter wheat that has followed a year of fallow...At least not out here in Prescott.
Most is actually winter wheat that we plant in October or so. Spring wheat and peas this time of year is planted, a few hundred acres of garbanzo beans and also a few hundred acres of canola. In prescott however, it is mostly and solely wheat that is planted due to moisture conditions. Thanks for the comment!
Lol there is now two drones but its because i crashed the first one without insurance and now have a new one to replace the replacement. Lol. Driving tractor and flying a drone is beyond my paygrade
10-16 inch mean 254 and 406mm, 60-100 bushel/acre mean 4-6 t/ha, water consitions same on my place, and your yield is really good. So i think so we have to learn minTill and NoTill filed managemant and forgot Conventional version because our yield sometime 30.bushel of wheat. Thanks your answer, and wainting your videos.
Im not sure if he has auto-steer but it is the standard usually around here. In the steep hills, one must steer by hand but still we look at the monitor to see our mark.
His name is Jackal. Or jack for short. He likes to bite everything. For fun mostly. Hes very affectionate though and i love him. He is cool looking too with the brindle type color. I think he is chihuaha and pitbull mixed
Good drone work Trevor. I hope you keep it out of the dirt and wires. Always fun to see farm work in other parts of the country.
I will try, and i agree!
Great Video Trevor, Good to see a classic tractor and drill combo, nice to see your buddy!
It sure is! The next one has some brand new CASE tractors and Horsch no-tills in it. Thanks Tony!

Man, Trevor, you got the threads going on ! LOL!
Lol, yeah. Reason brand clothing has sales and we buy a lot of it. haha.
Hope you get some nice gentle Spring rains.
Nice! Love the shot of your copilot too!
He has rough days on the Vector though. Being a truck dog is much more chill than a sidehill tractor co-pilot at 12 MPH on a hill.
Excellent video Trevor, tata.

@@TrevorStruthers Looking forward to seeing the Quads with the drills.
Such a cool planting team!
Usual standard, awesome!👍
Thank you Aubrey!
More great drone work. Explain the difference between spring and winter wheat.. Why both types? Thanks

Is all the wheat you grow spring wheat? Do you grow any other crops besides wheat?

Old school Challenger
Good tractors.
Did you add to your fleet of Drones?

OK! I understand what you mean. I will be including that information in the future videos. Thank you!
Are you using GPS guidance, or eye-ball?

how many rain/water you have in one year?
12-16 and 20-24 in the two different areas we farm.
Inches per year.
That's a nice looking puppy to take along with you. What is its name? 🐕

one inche mean 25,4 mm/ha is not to much, man you are really goog farmer , you can make product without water. What is the yeld? Kg/ha? THX
Wheat can yield about 60-100 bushels an acre with the 12-16 inches of rain we get here. I dont know hectars or mm conversion
