    Hats off to John, must have sucked to lose a seven hour match, but still he was really professional and nice during this interview, really classy from him. That was an insane match, huge respect for both of them. And well, being a Federer fan, hope Kevin wins the tournament now and make that Fed defeat worth it 😂

    Isner taking the disappointing loss like a champ, hid all negative emotions. Great sportsmanship by him.

      thriversoffset He lost his stamina a bit earlier than Anderson. The match was too close to select a winner or loser.

    I thought he had a very good shot at going all the way. I feel bad for him but not as bad as I felt for Roddick after he lost his 3rd Wimbledon final to Federer.

    Tie break in last set is probably a good sensible decision but from a viewers point of view and entertainment, I personally love the longer it goes on... but massive respect to them being out there all them hours !

    What a stupid question at 6:45, what did she want him to say? "Oh sure, my president is a big fan of me" And why would it be relevant if the answer was yes or no?

    feel bad for John, if he was 28, we can assume he can have more chances, but with his age, I hope he can win a Grand Slam soon before time runs out.

    Now Kevin Anderson is going to tire quickly in the final. Because he played almost 7 hours. Wimbledon has no choice but to keep up with the times and go with tie Breakers in each set. I think everybody wins with that. Break with tradition. For the good of the game.

    Ridiculous and archaic ruling - there came a point when it stopped being enjoyable for the viewer - even McEnroe was bored - calling for a rule change. It then affects Nadal & Djokovic who have to play an outdoor grass court semi-final indoors and not able to finish. As he said at 12 -12 go to a Championship tiebreak and players feel that's fair, scheduling isn't affected.

    Tie-break at 9-9! This was brutal and will likely adversely impact the final.

    Just go for a 10 point championship tiebreak at 6-6 - simple. Why go 12-12 if they already have a tiebreak at the US Open.

      John Sutton III of course if it’s tie break he wins. That’s the only way he wins. He can’t break anyone’s serve.

      Christopher Dones i guess u haven't seen the entire match. Anderson broke isner twice and isner bounced back and broke Anderson in the next game.

    • @donesy125
      @donesy125 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh sorry he broke him ONCE. It's known Isner wins mostly in tiebreaks because he's a terrible returner.

  • @jaysean9589
    @jaysean9589 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tie breaker, please. I don't see the point anymore. Drains the players too and takes away from their ability to play at the highest level when their next game comes around. Also, viewership?? 12 all sounds reasonable enough.

    Why couldn't the tournament referee gone out to the players at say 12 all and award a tiebreak.? Now the championships have been ruined for both mens finalists as a result. And another thing, why are officials still calling men's singles gentlemen's singles? They live in a bygone age!
