"Rosatom (State Atomic Energy Corporation) is going to build the atomic power plant Ruppur in Bangladesh, the first one for this country. And we will provide not only the most modern technologies, what is natural and what we have working in our country and other ones, but we will also give the financial assistance at the first stage of building of the atomic power plant. It will be a credit of 500 million US dollars, we just had the agreement signing ceremony."

"Cooperation in defence was another area for collaboration. Following our official talks we have signed ten MOs and agreements for cooperation in various ++indistinct word++. I believe they would place our relationship on a firm footing and help in taking practical initiatives in the future."

STORYLINE:
Russia agreed on Tuesday to lend Bangladesh a total of 1.5 (b) billion US dollars to help finance the construction of its first nuclear power station and buy Russian arms.
The agreements were signed following Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
Hasina told reporters the agreements will "place our relationship on a firm footing and help in taking practical initiatives in the future."
The Kremlin said one (b) billion US dollars will fund the purchases of Russian arms, while 500 (m) million US dollars will be spent on the construction of a nuclear power station in Ruppur, 200 kilometres (120 miles) from the capital, Dhaka.
The power station will be built by the Russian state atomic energy corporation, Rosatom.
Hasina's two-day stay in Moscow is the first official visit of a leader from the South Asian country since her father visited in 1972.
On Wednesday, Hasina is to speak to students at Moscow State University, meet with the head of Rosatom and visit the offices of Gazprom, the state natural gas supplier.

Dear brother first of all , gradually the powerful countries are interfering lower countries like Bangladesh. You see middle east situation. Libiya ,iraq,Afghanistan, yeoman, tiuneshia, lebanon , are already destroyed by anti Muslims counties aggression . BD is Muslim country, it is not safe from them. One day it would be affected by them, already they declared that the vision will be in South Asia ,and it is being started in South china sea. They want to come bd to counter china . so strategically bd is under inherent threat. If we can procure strong defense ,then we can protect our self like Syria ,iran. iran could become like iraq but they could not only irans defense capability. So we are developing country, it has no doubt that first we need more development and infrastructures. Besides, we have to protect ourself , think east Pakistan if we didn't fight we can't reach here. Think iraq and Syria was more developed country than bd, now they are poor. So rich country can be poor if they can't protect their sovereignty. So think defense development how much important.
